Tears of joy filled my eyes as I saw my admission letter,this is all I've always hoped for,my dreams, my everything and it's all coming to pass.I had gotten a chance to attend laceville.I felt on top of the world, I would finally leave this suffocating village to the city where I would achieve my dreams,I couldn't still believe I had gotten a scholarship,I thought it was all a dream but it was reality.I had shown my parents the letter earlier on and they were on top of the world,they were even more happier than I was.
My mum helped me to pack my bags,I was going to be staying with aunty Amaka until I'm done with my secondary school education.Dad gave me some words of advice before I left for the city.I was going to miss my family,but something better awaited me in the city.When i got to aunty Amaka's house,she welcomed me as I had expected,her house was not so big but the view was wonderful.She had two lovely daughters,at least that's what I thought until I got to know them.Amarachi was the first girl and she was fifteen,the second was Fechi who was 14,they both were spoilt brats,they didn't even know how to do the dishes.
I settled on my bed,as I thought of how my first day in laceville would look like .I was certain I'd make so many new friends,I had many friends in the village so making friends in the city would be a piece of cake.
