New student

After that day, Abhay couldn't take Vedika out of his mind . He tried hard but those blue orbs would not let him sleep in peace. He felt a weird connection towards Vedika .

On the other hand , Vedika forgot about the Diwali night because she was too busy in doing child labour at her so called home . But she was extremely glad that she will not see Abhay and his friends again. But somewhere in her heart , she felt a weird kind of feeling for Abhay but she shrugged it off as it was engraved in her mind that all good looking males are demons.

Days passed as usual for both Vedika as well as Abhay. Daily routine for Abhay being going to school, doing pranks , playing sports , failing exams and much more . And for Vedika, going to school , getting beaten up and also child labour.

----Time skip-----

AUTHOR'S POV

" At last these bloody exams are over and I am extremely excited for summer holidays!!..." Abhay said happily as their final exams of fourth Std were over and after two months of summer holidays they will go in 5th Std.

" Really ??...How did your exams went ?..." Vinay asked anxiously.

" Bro !...This time I am sure I will top the exams !.." Abhay said confidently.

" Nicche se ya uppar se ?" Samarth asked jokingly . Abhay rolled his eyes and Vinay snorted.

" Of course , uppar se !..." Abhay said in disbelief. Vinay and Samarth laughed .

---Time skip---

It was 15th June , date of reopening of most of the schools.

Though Abhay said that he would top the exams , he was unsuccessful... actually he was not even in top 10 but still everyone was astonished that he managed to get above 80% in his exams.

In past 7 months , Abhay almost forgot about Vedika's existence and Vedika forgot him before only.

ABHAY's POV

" Good Morning class !....I hope you all enjoyed the holidays . Welcome to 5th Std." Smriti mam said happily. I rolled my eyes and mentally groaned . What is there to be so happy in this ?....

" Chalo ab Firse apni nind ka balidan Dene ke liye taiyaar ho jao !.." Vinay whispered to himself. Well , I wake up before my mother daily , early in the morning....so I don't have any problem with that.

" Just look at that padhaku !...he is literally in half sleep !.." Vinay pointed at Samarth beside. Ohh !..thats why this Samarth sat on back bench with us.

" And today, you are looking really beautiful bro ?...Whats the matter ?.." Abhay asked sarcastically. I looked at him with a look saying , ' Have you left your brain in fridge ?'

" Chup baith be !....Kitna bolta hai tu ?...Aur jab bhi bolta hai , kuch accha toh nikalta nahi hai muh se !...
Just keep quite !...I don't want to stand out of the class on literally first day of my school." I spat . He kept finger on his lips to show that his mouth is shut.

" So , class .... I have a good news for you !.." Mam said and those who were half asleep also woke up and opened their eyes and ears wide , as if the good news is ,' There are holidays for two more months !'

" What news mam ?" Anshika asked. Anshika and Shraddha were as usual sitting infront. These girls like to seat infront of teacher's face.

" You all are going to get a new friend !....So , class please welcome your new friend." Mam announced and everyone glanced at the door to look at the new student.

My jaw dropped to ground when I saw the person whom I thought I will never meet again .
Yes !....Vedika is that new student!!!

But she was wearing, a uniform which was too big for her and uniform was torn too.

She entered the class with her head down.

" Just look at her,..she is looking like some garbage bag..." A boy sitting infront of me said to the girl beside him and both of them started snikering.

" Oye !...you both also don't look anything better than a garbage bag !.."I whisper yelled and they looked at me weirdly but I didn't care.

" Introduce yourself my child ?.." Mam encouraged her lovingly. She looked up fearfully while pushing her specs above her nose bridge and tucking her hair behind her ears. I crouched down a bit because if she will see me , it's sure that she will run away from here.

I could see her getting tensed when she saw Anshika and Shradhha sitting on front seats.

Come on Vedika !...You are not a coward !!!

" M-Myself V-Vedika, n-nice t-to m-meet Y-You a-all. I h-hope w-we w-will b-become g-good f-friends." She completed with so much of difficulty.

Whole class broke into whispers. Some of which I could hear was ,' She can't even speak properly.' , ' Just look at her , she looks really dirty ...' ,'By the state of her uniform, I wonder how she even got admission in this school where only rich people can study. '

I literally wanted to beat these people.

" SILENCE!!!..." Mam yelled in rage. I could see Vedika was trying hard , not to cry . The whispers were so loud that she as well as Mam could also hear.

" Vedika , my child....don't take any thing these students said to your heart , okay ?.." Mam asked while crouching down infront of her. She nodded slowly with extreme pain in her eyes.
Why am I feeling like crying ?....She is no one to me then why am I able to feel her pain ?..

" Okay , go and take that seat .." Mam said while pointing the first bench . There was no one sitting on it. Vedika nodded and was about to go to the bench but halted in her tracks when I started clapping suddenly.

" Abhay !...Pagal ho Gaya hai kya ?...gawaro ki tarah taaliya kyu Baja Raha hai ? " Samarth and Vinay hissed . I ignored them.

Everyone started turning their heads towards me . I saw Mam was looking at me with a proud smile on her face because I guess she understood what I am doing.

Finally my brown eyes met with her blue ones and those blue eyes widened when they saw me.

" Welcome Vedika!...I hope we will be good friends!" I said with my sweetest possible smile.

I saw how a tear slipped from her eye , as she smiled at me for the first time , without running away. I don't think I have felt this happy ever before.

" T-Thanks .." She managed to blurt out . I smiled at her .

" Well , .... Vedika , if you ever become friends with Abhay , just don't become troublesome like him . But yes , he will be really good friend to you!.." Mam said to Vedika in joking way. She nodded with a small chuckle and I rolled my eyes playfully at Mam's statement.

" Anyways , take your seat Vedika...and let's begin first chapter." Mam announced. Vedika went and sat on the first bench , where Mam told her to sit.

" Abhay !....Focus here !.." Mam ordered. I immediately averted my gaze to the board in embarrassment but still a stupid smile playing on my lips.

Just a small change guys ,..
=>Karn is adopted by Adhirath and Radha ....not by Gandhari.
=> There are no Shruti and Shravan in this story. Instead of Shruti and Shravan , Abhay and Prince will go to Dwaparyuga with Vedika.
=> And yes , they will go to Dwaparyuga sooner than they went in ' Broken queen '
