Arjun realises innocence of Karn

𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

Arjun sat numbly with his legs dipped under the lake water , while looking at the sunset.

" Duniya me itne saare log hai !!...but  of all those people , ye bloody Angraj ko he mera bhai hona tha !!!....." Arjun mutteres to himself while throwing a stone in the lake in anger.

He suddenly felt someone sit beside him.

" I guess someone is not in good mood today !.." Arjun sighed when he recognized the voice .

" Please Madhav , I want to be alone right now ." Arjun requested .

" Hey!...I am not here to disturb your grumpiness...I just came here to enjoy sunset , its really beautiful right ?.." Krishna asked while smiling at the setting sun which was flashing  a orange hue on their faces .

" No , I hate everything related to sun !!.." Arjun said in anger  .

" Well, you are hating someone without whom the life is not possible !!...Why is that , Parth ?.." Madhav asked in fake confusion.

" You know everthing Madhav, you are God !!..." Arjun said in ' wake up to the reality ' tone. Madhav chuckled .

" If I am God then I think must give you some life lesson...
You know Parth , sometimes what we see is just an illusion not reality !!..." Krishna said with his usual smile.

" What do you want to teach me Madhav ?.." Arjun asksd with a frown.

" I know Parth , why you hate Angraj so much...and I also know that its not because he is best friend of Duryodhan. The reason for hating him is related to your past...am I right ?.." Krishna asked and Arjun nodded.

" So I mean to say that , maybe what you think about Angraj or know about Angraj is not his reality just an illusion and what if reality is something else which you are unaware of !!.." Krishna said tactfully. Arjun went into thoughts and recalled how was Karn trying to tell something to Agni in battlefield but Agni wasnt listening to him . Is it possible that whatever Krishna is saying is true...

Arjun turned to his side to say something but rolled his eyes when he saw Krishna waa vanished.

Arjun just sat there for a while thinking about Krishna's words.

" You know , one's reality might be other's illusion . We all live inside our own fantasies without even caring what does others think or feel..." A calm voice filled with pain made Arjun to look behind and he sighed .

" And I also didnt want to care what you think or feel !...You evil brat !..." Arjun spat without thinking but those words pierced Karn's heart but still he kept a serene smile on his face and just went and sat beside Arjun and Arjun scooted away.

" Evil are just broken heroes whose story isnt told and in my case I am not  able to tell.." Karn said with a bitter chuckle while looking at his reflection in water.

"  Oh really Angraj !!...What you want to tell , hun ?...That how you tried to kill my best friend or you want to tell how you hated her so much that cant let her even breathe properly ?.." Arjun asked in incredulity. 

" I want to tell that how I was blackmailed to hate a sweet girl whom I saved from dying due to falling of a chandelier when she came to our house for Diwali when I was in 3rd or 4th std..." Karn said desperately.

" What ?...What are you saying ?..." Arjun asked in utter confliction.

" Yes Prince , You are saying that you saved Vedika that night on her birthday .... you are correct but the thing is she would have died a long before that incident if I hadnt save her the night of Diwali !!..Cause I heard my father and Vedika's father discussing on how to kill her by dropping the huge glass chandelier on her !!...And at that time you were not even there with her !!..
And when she joined our school and introduced herself , no one was even ready to welcome her because of her torn clothes , huge specs and messy hair...but I was the one to welcome her with claps so that she dont feel left out !!...
I have known Vedika more than you Arjun , I had seen her state from childhood and you dont know how much pain I felt to trouble her !!..." Karn said with agonised smile. Arjun was silent for a while.
