I'm carried into Bellamy's home base on something he called a 'stretcher'.  The sun shines down on my face and my eyes follow birds that fly across the sky.

The camp consists of a giant metal structure that's surrounded by several small tents and areas that people live in.  A few faces of the people I'm carried by look at me in disgust, so I gather that not everyone here is friendly with my people.

Bellamy talked to me all the way here, to the best of his ability.  The language barrier is difficult, but I'm adjusting to work around it.  I will need to know English better if I'm going to stay in Bellamy's camp for a little while.

"Skaikru calls your people 'Grounders'," he told me.

Grounders is a funny name.  Especially because everyone I've known in my life has been from the ground up until lately.

"I know it's a funny name," Bellamy has said after peering down at my face to see my confused head tilt.  "But when we came down here we had bigger problems than what to name your people."

Bellamy and another man carry me to a place Bellamy calls 'medical'.  There's a lot of people here and I try to get up to give space to someone else, but Bellamy pushes me back down and tells me it's okay.  I stay put.

A nice doctor man comes up to me and tells me that I'm going to feel a small pain in my shoulder and that I'll be going to sleep.  I reach out and grip onto Bellamy's wrist tightly, now scared that I'm going to be put to sleep to be used just like back in Mount Weather.

"It's okay," he tells me, grabbing my hand with both of his.  "Klir.  We will take care of you."

I relax again and there's a pinch in my shoulder before I begin to feel drowsy.  My eyes fall closed and my hand slides out of Bellamy's.

When I wake, I am alone.  The first thing I notice is that my body feels much stronger than it did when I was last awake.  The second thing I notice is a tube in my arm.  I yank it out.

I haven't been restrained to the bed I'm laying on, so I'm a little unsure of what I'm supposed to do.  Free will is something I haven't had in a long time.

I swing my legs over the side of the bed and step down.  There's a mirror propped against the side of the metal wall.  I pad over to it and take a long look at myself.

My eyes travel from my feet all the way up to my face.  My feet are covered in a pair of wooly gray socks, I have black sweatpants on that are kept on my waist by a drawstring, the shirt I have on is slightly too big, and my face makes me pause and stare.

I'm clean.  Not a trace of dirt on my cheek or a bruise or even a scratch.  My dark brown eyes do not look scared as they stare back at me.  My light blonde hair is not caked in blood or even all that greasy.

I look kind of like a stranger, but I'm not too mad about it at the moment.

Looking down, I see there's a small bruise forming on my forearm where the tube was inserted and a trickle of blood falls down to my hand.  I ignore it and turn away from the mirror.

Where is Bellamy?

I push through a door and I'm in a hallway where people casually stroll, engaged in conversation.  Nobody even bats an eye at me.

"Hello, Alexis," a woman's voice says.

My head turns and I'm greeted by the sight of the same woman that Clarke hugged back in Mount Weather.  I shiver even thinking about that place again.

"I'm Abby Griffin, Chancellor and lead medic here in Arkadia" she says to me.

Chancellor.  Kind of like Heda.  I thought Clarke would be Chancellor?  Lead medic.  Medical, like the place Bellamy said I was going to.  Arkadia.  Like the Ark, but on the ground.

"I'm sure you're feeling a bit unsure of this place and maybe even scared," Abby continues.  "It's okay to feel that way, but I want to make sure you feel safe here, Alexis."

Some of the words she says confuse me, but I pick up on a few others: unsure, scared, it's okay, safe, Alexis.

"Would you like me to get a translator?  I can go grab Lincoln," offers Abby.

Lincoln?  I know Lincoln.  He was one of my close friends until he was banished from Trikru as a traitor.

I nod.

Abby smiles and gestures for me to follow her.  She takes me down a hallway and to a door.  "Wait here a moment." She slips inside the door and a few moments later comes out with Lincoln and Octavia.

"Lincoln," I breathe out and wrap my arms around him.  "Kru don biyo yu died (people said you died)."

He hugs me back tightly and then I pull away and look at Octavia.  "Octeivia kom Skaikru (Octavia from Sky Clan)."

She gives me a small smile.

Abby looks at Lincoln.  "Will you show her around camp?  I have patients to attend to."

Lincoln nods and Abby leaves.

"I'll let you two catch up," Octavia says to Lincoln before kissing him on the cheek and leaving.  They must be together.  I'm happy for them.

Lincoln starts walking with me, showing me around the inside of Arkadia and eventually taking me outside.  I breathe in the fresh air before asking the question I've been waiting to say this whole time.  "Where ste Belomi? (Where is Bellamy?)"

Lincoln smiles.  "Hashta gou yu as op (about time you ask).  Ai na hon daun yu gon em (I will take you to him)."

Lincoln leads me to a tent.  He taps gently on the outside, announcing his presence.

The tent unzip and Bellamy steps out.  It's like I'm seeing his face clearly for the first time.  His skin is tan and unmarked spare for the freckles that sprinkle his face.  His curls rest against his forehead and blow softly in the wind.

"I will leave you two be," says Lincoln.  He leaves.

"You've been asleep for two full days," says Bellamy.

Asleep.  Two days.  I shrug.  "Tired."

His face breaks into a grin.  "I imagine." He steps to the side to show me the inside of his tent.  "Come in."
