Blood Must Have Love (Bellamy x reader/OC)

Chapter Eighteen: Wanheda

Bellamy, Monty, and I get Jasper into the rover with minimal struggle, compared to usual. Bellamy tosses bags into the trunk and Raven slides out from underneath the car.

"Hey! Take it easy!"

"Morning to you, too," greets Bellamy sarcastically.

I help her up and she starts getting prepared as well. Miller walks by and Bellamy hands him a gun.

"What's the point if we can't shoot 'em?" Miller checks his gun.

Sometimes I wonder if the people here remember that I am 'them'.

"We can, just not to kill. That goes for everyone," declares Bellamy. Something about his voice he uses to lead gets me excited. "Where's Octavia?"

"We're going outside the wall," Miller responds. "You honestly think she'd miss that?"

Monty splashes a bucket of water onto Jasper, sobering him up. "Sorry. Was that too cold?"

Jasper breathes hard before yelling and grabbing the front of Monty's shirt. He slams him against the rover. I hold out a hand, trying my best to settle the situation without stepping in. Bellamy moves over to them and holds out an arm to stop Jasper from walking toward the gun bag.

"No gun for you. Not until you're sober," he says.

"Don't want one," Jasper grits. "Can I get a sword instead?" He glares at me and I have no idea where his hostility towards me comes from.

"Check yourself, Jasper," commands Bellamy.

Jasper salutes and then lazily slaps Bellamy across the face, going to the other side to sit in the rover.

Bellamy moves on and closes the trunk. "Let's do this."

They all load into the trunk, Raven in the drivers seat. I give Bellamy a quick kiss. "I'm taking my horse," I tell him, explaining why I'm not getting into the rover. I still struggle with technology.

I shut the door and the big metal one in front of us opens, revealing Octavia on her own horse, holding the reins of mine. I hop on, smiling at her.

"Try and keep up with us!" she yells at Raven.

We both gallop away, through the camp of Arkadia, and out of the opening gates. Once we make it to the forest road, I look up into the trees and breathe in the scent of the outdoors.

Raven is keeping up just fine in the rover.

After a small while, music starts playing from the rover behind us and Octavia and I pick up the pace. The song I now know as 'Add It Up' begins playing louder.

Octavia and I take a side of the rover, matching their pace on our horses. We're galloping through an open field now and Jasper pops out of the top, throwing his arms into the air and hollering.

The music stops and the rover slows to a stop. I direct my horse to trot over to the drivers side.

"What's up?"

Octavia opens the back of the rover. "Don't tell me I missed the party."

"There's a beacon from Farm Station coming from Sector 8, Ice Nation," Monty says.

"What about it?" Octavia questions.

"Protocol says we go home," Raven says. "Let the Chancellor decide what to do next."

I agree with Raven. Ice Nation is not to be messed with.

"Screw protocol," says Bellamy. "The Chancellor isn't from Farm Station." He looks at Monty and Miller, who sit across from him. "Monty is. And so is Miller's boyfriend. It's your call."
