Bellamy's tent is very simply, yet there is still a lot of personality that I can observe. There's a desk with a few maps splayed out, certain areas circled and things written in English. Next to the maps is a journal, closed. A chair sits at the desk and a jacket is on top of the chair. A name tag on it reads 'Bellamy Blake' written right under the word 'Guard'. His bed is not made and the sheets are thrown casually on top of the mattress. A few clothes lie scattered on the floor and Bellamy hurries to pick them up while I look around. A chest sits at the end of his bed, holding what I assume would be more clothes and personal items.

"You can have a seat wherever," he tells me.

I cross my legs and sit right on the floor, wrapping my arms around my knees.

Bellamy gives me a funny look and then takes a seat at his desk chair. "How do you feel?"

"Stronger again," I respond. "What ai (I) miss?"

"Not a lot. People are returning back to health still and you were out for so long so that Abby could make sure your body restored all the nutrients it has been missing the past few months."

Past few months. I was in that mountain a long time.

Bellamy seems to notice the dark look on my face because he changes the subject. "Would you want to go outside of the fence tomorrow with me and some others? It would be good to get out."

Outside. I shake my head yes hastily and he chuckles. "Hunt?" I ask.

"Yeah. We do some hunting and we check the perimeter to make sure nobody has set up camp outside of Arkadia." He pauses, as if unsure whether he should say the next part or not. "We haven't seen your people since Mount Weather."

My shoulders drop slightly. I don't know what I was expecting. Pax already told me that Lexa made a deal against Skaikru.

"That's also good, though," Bellamy hurries to lift my mood. "That means they don't want to fight us anymore. Maybe."

"O emo are gonen moun kru (or they are fighting other people)," I say in my own language without thinking.

Bellamy furrows his eye brows, trying to calculate what I just said.

"Trikru... maybe fight... other kru," I rephrase, trying my best.

"Another clan?"  Bellamy ponders this for a moment.  "What other clan?"

"Many clans," I say, excited that he understands what I'm communicating.  "Azgeda... Ice... Ice Nation."

"Ice Nation," states Bellamy.  "Or Azgeda.  Are they friendly?"

I shake my head no.  "Not always.  Azgeda has been hostile lately.  Kom op ona oso land (They have been coming into our land)."

He nods his head slowly.  It occurs to me that they could be using me purely for information on Trikru, but Bellamy's body language is relaxed and I feel comfortable that this conversation means more than that to him.

"What has Earth been like?  You've lived here all your life," he states.  "I've only been here on Earth for a few months."

I smile and it's a big, genuine smile.  He wants to learn more about me and my life and that creates a warm feeling my chest, though I'm not sure why.

I start by telling him about my childhood.

______

I'm sure it's been hours that Bellamy and I have talked - to the best of our abilities, at least - about Earth and what our lives have been like.

He's assured me several times that today is his day off of guard duty, so I don't feel as bad conversing with him and taking up his time.

I tell him all about Heda Leksa (Commander Lexa) and what Commander means to my people and me growing up, how Commander is chosen, and how I got word of her being in power.  I knew Lexa for a short time before being captured.  She was Anya's Second, meaning she had a good amount of control over certain forces of Trikru, like my hunting group.  Anya was a strong leader, though once I got word from another member of my clan in Mount Weather that Lexa was now in power, I developed some magical fantasy in my mind that Lexa would remember me and break me and my hunting group out of Mount Weather.  I don't tell Bellamy about the fantasy part.

Bellamy explains to me why the first 100 kids were sent to Earth - he apparently wasn't supposed to be part of that 100.  He mentions that he actually shot the Chancellor at the time, not Abby, in order to get onto the 'drop ship' and be with his sister, Octavia.  I tell him I wish I had a sibling and Bellamy says that on the Ark, having a sibling was a crime.  This explains why Octavia was locked up and what she said to Maya back at Mount Weather about never really feeling a part of the Ark.

"My mom used to read this book called The Iliad to Octavia and I when we were kids," Bellamy says.  He's laying on his bed, arms resting beneath his head.  I am still sat on the floor, though my legs are crossed now and not to my chest like usual.  "It was about a Greek warrior named Achilles."

"Greek?" I question, tilting my head.  I have no idea where that word means and none of his other words give me any hint either.

"Greek as in Greece, which used to be a place here on Earth.  It's just a story, though.  Achilles wasn't a real person," he clarifies.  I can see his smile from where I am on the floor.  "You do that a lot."

"What?"

"Tilt your head when you are confused.". Bellamy has learned to stop using things called 'contractions' around me.  Words that confuse me like aren't, hasn't, haven't, don't, and others.

I immediately straighten my head, blushing slightly.  "Sorry."

"No, it's okay," he assures.  "It's... kind of adorable."

Adorable.  I have no clue what that means.

He recognizes my continued confusion.  "Like a puppy," he illustrates.

"Oh," I say, simply.  "Hm."  A memory pops into my head.  "I had a... puppy as a child.  More wolf than fecha (dog)."

"Really?" He sits up, leaning back on his hands.  "I always begged my mom for a dog as a kid.  My mom said there were no more left on the Ark."

"That is... sad."  I feel bad for young Bellamy.  I try to picture what he would look like as a kid and the image makes the corners of my mouth turn up.  "The name of ai puppy was Astro.  Good fecha (good dog)."

Bellamy doesn't say anything, meaning he wants me to continue.  We're getting better at that.  Speaking with no words.

"Strong fecha.  Use to help me learn how to hunt."

"What did Astro look like?"

My mind works to conjure up an image of Astro, but fails.  It's been too long and I've been through too much since then.  "Ai can not mema in (remember).". There's a beat of silence.  "Ai nontu (my father) put a spear through his heart when he got seintaim kriken (too old) and could nou (not) stand."

Bellamy's expression is a mix of sorrow and a spark of anger.  "I'm sorry."

"Do not be.  Tradition."

He looks like he's about to say something else, but suddenly his tent is unzipped and the man, whom I've learned is known as Kane, sticks his head through.  "It's time for dinner.  Alexis is encouraged to come with.". He offers a quick smile to me before disappearing.

Bellamy stands up and offers me a hand.  I take it and he pulls me up.  "You must be hungry."

I nod.
