Sacrifices, Harry Potter Year 5

4. Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place

Lilly's POV
Harry was wondering what he just read and I hissed, "Sush! Just think of what you just read!"
I duplicated myself and brought Harry upstairs while the other me went to the meeting. He was mad because he wanted answers and none of them were answered after all this time. Ron said Harry should have been safe and Harry said, "Yeah, have any of you been attacked by dementors this summer?"
Ron said, "Well, no, but that's why he's had people from the Order of the Phoenix tail you all the time-"
Harry was slowly getting furious. I said, "Mundungus left before his shift and Dumbledore was really mad at him. He was scary..."
Harry was happy that he was here, but he was still worried about the Ministry. We continued a contained argument how Harry didn't know anything, but Ron, Hermionie, and I knew stuff, then Ron set Harry off by saying, "Mum won't let us near the meetings because we were too young-"
Harry shouted, "SO YOU HAVEN BEEN IN THE MEETINGS, BIG DEAL! YOU STILL BEEN HERE, HAVEN'T YOU? YOU'VE STILL BEEN TOGETHER! I'VE BEEN STUCK AT THE DURSLEYS FOR A MONTH AND I'VE HANDLED MORE THAT YOU ALL HAVE EVER MANAGED AND DUMBLEDORE KNOWS THAT! WHO SAVED THE SORCERER'S STONE? WHO GOT RID OF RIDDLE? WHO SAVED ALL YOUR SKINS FROM DEMEMTORS? WHO HAD TO GET TN PAST DRAGONS AND SKINS AND EVERY OTHER FOUL THINGS LAST YEAR? WHO SAW HIM COME BACK? WHO HAD TO ESCAPE FROM HIM? ME! BUT WHY SHOULD I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON? WHY SHOULD ANYONE BOTHER TO TELL ME WHAT BEEN HAPPENING?"
I interrupted saying, "Harry, you aren't the only one who's faced the stuff you've faced!" He shouted, "BUT YOUR IN THE ORDER SO IT MAKES IT OKAY FOR YOU TO KNOW, SO WHY CAN'T I? FOR WEEKS I'VE BEEN STUCK IN PRIVET DRIVE NICKING PAPERS OUT OF THE BIND TO TRY AND FIND OUT WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON! I KNOW YOU'VE BEEN HAVING A REAL LAUGH, HAVEN'T YOU, ALL HOLED UP HERE TOGETHER!" Hermione was crying and she told him, "Harry were really sorry! You're absolutely right, Harry, I'd be furious if it was me!"
I said, "Look I'm going to give you the general gist of this, so please, pay attention! This place is headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix. It's a secret society Dumbledore created for people to fight Voldemort. About twenty people are in it currently and were trying to recruit." Harry motioned for me to continue and I said, "Look, there's a reason that you don't know, so respect it and move on!" He rolled my eyes and Ron said that they've been using Extendable Ears that Fred and George created to listen in on the meetings. Fred and George came in and they wanted to listen to the meeting, but Ginny said they couldn't. They all looked to me and I said, "Hey, my mouth is keeping shut, so no!" They talked about the people in the Order. Snape, Bill, and Charlie. They told Harry about Percy getting promoted and I groaned and said, "Please don't talk about the pain in my butt right now! Percy thinks he is tough crap because he is Junior Assistant to the Minister! The Minister doesn't want anyone to have contact with Dumbledore and Percy keeps asking me if I have and it is driving me nuts!" I was livid at Percy.
George said, "Yeah, Percy has been a real fowl git! He went completely berserk. He said to dad loads of terrible stuff. How he's been having to struggle against dad's lousy reputation with the Ministry and how he's got no ambition and that's why we've always been, well, not had a lot of money."
I could feel the fire in my eyes burn. My hands began to glow. I calmed myself quickly. Ron continued, "It got worse, he said dad was an idiot to run around with Dumbledore saying Dumbledore was headed for big trouble and that he's going down with him. And if mum and dad were going to become traitors he didn't want to be a part of it, he's living in London now..."
I said, "I talked to him saying, his family loves him and he can't turn his back on them... Stop being mean to them and go back! He then questioned me and my loyalties to the Ministry and said some awful stuff to me; calling me a traitor, my mom deserved to die, my dad deserved what he got and that I hope I get fired so then someone less incompetent and more skillful as me would take over," I was teary a bit, but I continued saying, "I told him that he would regret this amd when he finally wants to come back, it will be almost too late. He replied, 'You are lucky you a high Ministry Official or I would hex you!' I said he could go ahead and do it, he could take the ego he got from all the power he has and shove it. I left before he took out his wand. Every since then, he's been trying to get me fired, which won't happen, The Minister needs me more than anyone else. Cornelius wants me to advice him on what to do to make the future successful. I'm way above Percy!" They look at me shoucked, but understood. Harry was mad about the stuff they were writing in the Daily Prophet. I knew it was bad and I genuinely wanted to help Harry, but unfortunately, I am not allowed to help.
We were finally able to eat! I combined myself with the me at the meeting, Tonks tripped over something, and the horrible woman was screeching again. It took Lupin and Sirius a while to finally close the curtain. Sirius turned to Harry and said, "Hello, Harry, I see you've met my mother."
