11. The Sorting Hat's New Song

Lilly's POV
We all sat together, and I saw a copy of myself sit next to Umbridge. Then Harry recognized that Umbridge was there... The Sorting Hat gave a waring to the school and told us to band together and then we finally ate. Everyone wondered if the Hat gave a waring before and I said, "Before yes, the hat feels honor-bound to warn the school when necessary. It lives in Dumbledore's office, so I suspect it picks up a few things." They nodded and Nearly Headless Nick talked a bit more about it and Ron insulted Nick, I looked at Hermione, since she was sitting right next to him saying, "Please, since I can't reach?" She smacked him on the back of the head. I smiled and said, "Thank you!" We finished eating and Dumbledore made his usual speech, but Umbridge interrupted! No one interrupts Dumbledore! I smiled a bit since I was sitting near her. She kept on talking and talking and talking, to sum it up, things at Hogwarts are changing and the Ministry is now interfering at Hogwarts. Lovely. Dumbledore clapped and everyone in the staff did as well. I went with Hermione and Ron with the first years and brought them up, but I told Neville the password and the boys went up to their dorm. I saw that Seamus and Dean were talking, but then stopped when Harry got there. I went up there as I heard shouting because I forgot to give Neville his book I borrowed from him. Seamus said that his mom didn't want him going back because she thinks Harry is a liar and Dumbledore is a fool.
Seamus asked Harry what happened that night and Harry said, "What are you asking me for? Just read the Daily Prophet like your mother, why don't you? That'll tell you all you need to know."
Seamus said, "Don't you dare have a go at my mother!"
"I'll have a go at anyone who calls me a liar!"
Harry grabbed his wand pointing it qt Seamus. Seamus said, "Don't talk to my like that!"
Harry said back, "I'll talk to you how I want, if you got a problem sharing a dormitory with me, go and ask McGonagall if you can be moved, stop you mummy worrying-"
"Leave my mother out of this, Potter!"
I went in and asked, "What's going on?"
Seamus yelled, "He's having a go at my mother."
Ron walked in as Seamus was yelling and I said, "Harry, you wouldn't do that? I mean we've met his mum and she's very nice, we liked her..."
Harry said at the top of his voice, "That before she started believing every word the stinking Daily Prophet writes about me!"
I sighed saying, "Oh boy..."
Seamus said heartedly, "You know what? He's right, I don't want to share a dormitory with him anymore, he's a madman."
Ron said, "That's out of order, Seamus."
His face was red and Seamus shouted, "Out of order, am I? You believe all the rubbish he's come out with about You-Know-Who, do you, you think he's telling the truth?"
Ron said angrily, "Yeah, I do!"
"Then you're mad too, " Seamus said in disgust.
Ron said, "Yeah? Well unfortunately for you, pal, I'm also a prefect! So unless you want a detention, watch your mouth."
He poked his chest and I shoved myself inbetween the boys and snapped, "Enough! If either of you want detention, you will stop!" Seamus pushed my hand off his chest and went onto his bed.
Ron said aggressively, "Any else's parents got a problem with Harry?" Dean said that his parents are Muggles and he isn't stupid enough to tell them there was almost death at Hogwarts and that Barty Crouch was murdered.
Seamus started ranting again and Neville cut him off saying, "My Gran says that's rubbish. She says it's the Daily Prophet that's going downhill, not Dumbledore. She's canceled our subscription. We believe Harry. My gran's always said You-Know-Who would come back one day. She says if Dumbledore says he's back, he's back."
I hugged Neville and gave him his book. He side hugged me and I kissed his cheek telling him I'm to go to bed. I said, "I don't want to hear another word of this from either of you! Is that clear, Ron, Seamus?" The nodded in reluctance and I left the room yelling, "Get to bed!" I mind messaged to Harry that it will take a while, but they will realize it. He wasn't happy about it...
