32. Out of the Fire

Lilly's POV
Professor Tofty was going to take Harry to the Hospital Wing until I said, "I can take him, I'm quite finished! He agreed and we went straight to Madam Pomfrey. Harry found out they took Professor McGonagall to St. Mungo's. We then ran to Hermione and Ron, Harry wanted to go straight to the Ministry and find him, but Hermione protested because it doesn't make actually sense. I said, "Harry, Hermione has a point, if Voldemort knows of the connection you have he can look through you mind and make you see what he wants to see." He snapped, "So what are you saying?"
"I'm saying you shouldn't go,"
"Then you don't care for him as much as I do!" He shouted.
I was appalled, how could he say that.
They got into further argument and then Ginny and Luna came and Hermione made a plan to get Harry to talk to Sirius. Ron was the distraction, Ginny, Luna, Neville, and I were guards. I was trying to take care of the Inquisitorial Squad. Harry got in and then Umbridge came Millicent Bulstrode was holding Hermione against the wall, Warrington was holding Ron, Crabbe looked like he was suffocating Neville, and everyone else was held by Slytherins. I was standing in the corner watching.
Umbridge said, "Well, it looks as though Hogwarts will shortly be Weasley-free zone, doesn't it?
"So, Potter. You stationed lookouts around my office and you sent this buffoon to tell me the poltergeist were wreaking havoc in the Transfiguration apartment when I knew perfectly well he was busy smearing ink on the eye pieces of all the school telescopes, Mr. Flitch having just informed me so.
"Clearly, it was very important for you to talk to somebody. Was it Albus Dumbledore? Or the half breed, Hagrid? I doubt it was Minerva McGonagall, I hear she is still too ill to talk to anyone..."
A few people snickered. "It's none of your business who I talk to," Harry snarled.
Umbridge said, "Miss Black, if you want to get off probation, I suggest you tell me who he communicated with." She grabbed me roughly and pulled me in front of Harry. I looked into his eyes saying, "All I see is him talking to a house elf. He probably was talking to the Kitchen because he probably doesn't know where it is." She said, "No you insolent girl! You are hereby fired at Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement." I laughed saying, "Ah, Madam Undersecretary, only the Minister is allowed to do that."
"You are hereby expelled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"
I smiled saying, "That means I can actually go full time on work and progress thank you!"
She looked at if she wanted to choke me. She sent Draco off to get Professor Snape and when he came back she ordered Malfoy to hold me. He grabbed both of my arms. She wanted Veritaserum for Harry, but she used the last bottle on Harry already. Harry thought it was good to tell Snape, given it was his last hope. Umbridge wanted to know what he was talking about and Snape said, "I have no idea, Potter, when I want and nonsense shouted at me I shall give you a Babbling Beveridge. And Crabbe, loosing your hold a little, if Longbottom suffocates it will mean a lot of tedious paperwork, and I am afraid I shall have to mention it on your reference if you ever apply for a job." He left swiftly and Umbridge pulled out her wand. She said, "Very well. Very well... I am left with no alternative... This is more than a matter of school discipline... Issue a Ministry security... Yes... Yes... You are forcing me, Potter... I do not want to, but sometimes circumstances justify to use... I am sure the Minister will understand. I had no choice... Cruciatus Curse ought to loosen your tongue."
"No, you can't, " I was struggling against Malfoy's grip. "It's illegal, Cornelius wouldn't want you doing that!" Umbridge said, "What he doesn't know, won't hurt him..." I tried getting lose again and shouted, "I'll tell him!" She pointer her wand at me, "Fine, Stupefy! Obliviate!" The spells hit me and I passed out. Well, pretended. Malfoy put me on a chair and Neville was struggling against Crabbe. Hermione shrieked, "You killed her!" Umbridge started to say, "Cru-"
"Tell her, Harry!" Hermione shrieked. She told Umbridge about a weapon and she led them off.
