Lilly's POV
Harry was late, but he was here. The Minister started the trial. He named off the interrogators, himself, Madam Bones, Umbridge, Percy, and me. Dumbledore came in and the Cornelius named off the charges, "The charges against the accused are as follows: That he did knowingly, deliberately, and in full awareness of the illegality of his actions, having recited a previous written warning from the Ministry of Magic on a similar charge, produced a Patronus Charm in a Muggle-inhabited area, in the presence of a Muggle on August the second at twenty-three minutes past nine, which constitutes an offense under paragraph C of the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, 1875, and also the under section thirteen of the Confederation of Wizards' Statute of Secrecy."
He continued of having Harry say yes to questions, but not letting him had people a word of what actually happened. Madam Bones piped in talking about the Patronus and then Harry said it was because of the dementors and I asked, "How were there two dementors in Little Whinging?"
Harry tried explaining, but the Minister cut him off. Dumbledore produced Mrs. Figg, a Squib. I questioned her of everything that had happened that night. Cornelius and Dumbledore got into a big argument how the dementors were there and they should not have been and Dumbledore suggested a full scale inquiry on why two dementors were not at Azkaban. They furthered to continue of charges Harry had before this which were cleared. Then about expelling students if they are misbehaving on the grounds, which they have no right to do. Dumbledore pointed out how they are using a full scale trial for a bit of Underage Magic. They were finally done arguing and I said loudly, "Those in favor of clearing the accused of all charges?" Many people raised their hands and including myself, but I gave him a dirty look. I mind messaged Harry, "Sorry, I need to be seen on their side..." I continued out loud, "And those in favor of conviction?" About a dozen raised their hands.
Fudge said, "Very well, very well, cleared of the charges." I sighed and sent one of me home with Harry while another stayed at work.
Cornelius asked me, "Why did you say he was not guilty?"
I said, "The woman truly believes he wasn't. I saw it, unfortunately he got away with it! I hate it when justice isn't served, but don't worry Cornelius, you will get the front row seat of justice."
He smiled at me and said, "I knew I could trust you, Black, you have proved to have done amazing things. Keep this up and you just may become Minister!"
I smiled and said, "Thank you, I learned from the best!" He went off to his office and I grumbled under my breath, "By the best, I mean, Dumbledore." I hate Cornelius.
