Chapter 23

Kimberly's pov______________________

It's been two days since Klaus turned into a werewolf and went on a killing spree. Elijah and I have been cleaning up his mess.

He finally turned back to human.

Elijah tossed him clothes. "You've been busy"

"That was amazing... How long has it been?" Klaus asked as he stood up and put the clothes on.

"Almost two days. The full moon came and went. You remained a wolf" I said.

"I can change at will then. That's good to know" Klaus smirks at us. "I remember... every single kill"

"Yes, we've been cleaning up your little mess along the way" Elijah said.

"Just like old times, brother"

"You've had your fun. I believe we have a bargain"

"That's right. Now, what was it again? Oh wait, I remember. That's it. You wish to be reunited with our family"

"You gave me your word, Niklaus"

"What kind of brother would break his word? Even though you both did try to kill me"

"I could have, but I didn't" Elijah said, helping Klaus put on his jacket. 

"Now no one can, not even you... Relax, Elijah. All is forgiven" Klaus said. I don't believe that.

"Where are they?" I asked speaking up.

"You two need to lighten up. I'll bring you to them soon enough"

Klaus then brought us back to Alaric's apartment. 

"Klaus, you're back" Katherine popped out of the corner, dragging Stefan by his collar. "Look who decided to come for a visit" 

"You just keep popping up, don't you?" Klaus smirks.

"I need your help. For my brother" 

Curiosity got the better of me. Katherine and I stare at each other. 

"What happened to Damon?" I asked.

"Ask your questions later, little hunter" Klaus said to me, then he turned back to Stefan. "Well, whatever it is, is gonna have to wait. You see, I have an obligation to my brother... that requires my immediate attention"

"You understand how important family is or you wouldn't be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own" Elijah dropped my hand and stood in front of Stefan.

"And so I shall" Klaus said and vamped speed behind Elijah. Elijah turned around and was plugged with a dagger in him. He screamed in pain as I gasped in shock.

"ELIJAH!" I screamed as I took a step forward but Katherine appeared in front of me, pushing me behind her. I tried to move past her, but she grabbed my arm, holding me still.

"Katherine, let me go" I whispered to her.

"No, please don't do anything" Katherine whispered to me. 

Elijah turned grey and his body fell to the ground. 

Klaus then pinned Stefan to the wall. "Now, what am I going to do with you?" Klaus took another dagger and stabbed Stefan. "Do you feel that? It's scraping against your heart. The slightest little movement and you're dead"

"He's just trying to help his brother" Katherine said as she slowly let go of my arm.

"The witches said you had a cure. Make me a deal. Just give me the cure and I'll do whatever you want" Stefan pleaded with him.
