Chapter 41

Kimberly's pov_______________________

I woke up at the Salvatore house. My phone rang and It was Rebekah.

"Rebekah. Are you ok?" 

"I have something to tell you. Nik's alive and he was in Tyler Lockwood's body. Bonnie did a spell that transferred him into another body, but she undid the spell so now he's back in his normal body... I got mad when Nik saved Caroline instead of me, so I tore up Elena's last remaining human blood, and he said I was no longer his sister and snapped my neck" 

I froze. 

"So Tyler is alive while Parker remains dead?" 

"That's all you got from that?" 

"Rebekah. I got to go, I'll call you later" I said and hung up. I went downstairs and saw Tyler on the couch with bullets in his stomach. Stefan tried to get them out while Caroline watched. 

"Kim" Tyler said when he saw me. "I'm so so sorry about Parker, I--"

"Save it Tyler. I'm not in the mood" I said. 

"Please tell me that's the last one" Caroline said stepping in.

"These were especially craved... the length, the width. If you were a normal vampire, you'd be dead" Stefan said.

"This guy knew what he was doing. His gloves must have been steeped in vervain. He was looking for a vampire and didn't hesitate when he found one" Tyler said.

"But 12 council members are dead. Who is this guy?" I asked confused. 

"These etchings" Stefan said.

"Are the bullets spelled?" Caroline asked.

"I don't know. They're something... I'm gonna go see Bonnie" Stefan got up and left. 

"Are you going to Memorial Day?" Caroline asked me. 

"I-I don't know" I shook my head. 

"Please come, we are all going" 

"Kim... I brought back Parker's body, he's in the basement" Tyler said. 

"Thank you for bringing him to me" I said and I went back to my room and called Diana. 

"Hey. I was wondering when I'd hear from you. How are you?" Diana's happy voice said over the phone. 

"I am ok, all things considered" 

"What happened now?" 

"Parker is dead" 

"What? What the hell happened?"

"Klaus died, and Tyler and Parker are a part of his sire line. I thought Tyler died, but Nik found a way to switch bodies with him, Parker is for sure dead"

"Oh, my god..." 

"I have his body. I want to give him a proper funeral. Just the three of us" 

"Well be there, first thing tomorrow" Diana hung up and I got ready for the council memorial day. 

An hour later I was at the church, I sat next to Jeremy and Matt. Elena came in and sat next to Matt.

"Hey, are you ok?" I asked her, she seemed off.

Elena nodded her head. 

"Hey, uh, April was looking for you. She wanted help with her speech" Jeremy said.

"Oh. Where is she?" Elena asked.

"I don't know" Matt said.

Mayor Lockwood appeared on the stage. "Before we begin mass, we'd like to open the floor to anyone who would like to share a memory about our late friends on the town council. I know that April Young wanted to say a few words about her dad. Uh, April? April, are you still here, honey?"
