CHILD OF THE NIGHT!

I awoke in a state of disoriented confusion, my senses assaulted by the heavy scent of damp earth and the suffocating closeness of the space around me. As consciousness clawed its way back, I realized I was enveloped in utter darkness. Panic seized my chest, constricting my breaths into shallow gasps. The air inside the confined space felt thin and stifling, like the remnants of a nightmare refusing to release its hold.

"Where am I?" I whispered into the void, my voice barely audible, lost in the oppressive silence. No response came, only the distant murmur of voices, distorted and incomprehensible.

My fingers grazed the coarse surface of the coffin, my touch confirming my worst fear – I was trapped inside a wooden prison. Panic surged within me, and my heart pounded against my ribcage. Desperation urged me to find an escape, driving my trembling hands to explore the confining walls. My palms met unyielding wood, and reality hit me like a sledgehammer – I was entombed.

Is this is a sick game?

Fingers shaking, I continued to probe the walls, seeking any irregularity, any crack or crevice that might offer a glimmer of hope. That's when I felt it – something cold and lifeless. I recoiled in horror, my breath catching in my throat. My fingertips brushed against bones

What the fuck is this?

My eyes fixated on the grisly sight before me – the remains of another soul, its bones twisted into a grotesque semblance of humanity. The hair, once vibrant, now clung in ghostly white strands, roots stained a vivid red.

Murder? Was she murdered? Who is she?

Disgust clawed at my throat, threatening to choke me. But then something glinted, catching my eye like a distant star in the night sky. My fingers found their way through the ribs of the lifeless skeleton, I felt an odd mixture of repulsion and fascination. The sparkling pendant, hanged around its neck like a cruel mockery of beauty. For a moment, I hesitated, questioning the morality of taking something from the dead.

Fuck that. This shit is worth billions of Shekels.

I snatched the pendant, my fingers closing around it with an almost desperate urgency. Its icy surface sent shivers down my spine, yet its brilliance illuminated the coffin with an ethereal glow. Quickly, I put the chain around my neck, the diamonds now nestled against my skin, a stark contrast to the morbidity surrounding me. I hid it beneath my dress, close to my heart, as if shielding it from the harsh reality I found myself in.

The coffin felt like a prison, its walls pressing in on me. "Is anyone out there?" I called out, my voice hoarse, the words fading into the dense darkness. There was no reply, only the hollow echo of my own fear.

I heard a faint creaking, the sound of wood shifting against wood. It was followed by the muted voices growing louder, their cadence indecipherable. "Help!" I shouted, desperation lacing my voice. "Please, someone, help me!"

The world shifted violently, and I was weightless, plummeting through space. The impact was a jolt to my senses, the sensation akin to falling from a great height. The coffin had been thrown, discarded like an unwanted relic. The splash of water echoed around me. Cold dread gripped my heart as I realized I had fallen into a river. The knowledge of my watery grave sent shivers down my spine, and my mind raced with the terrifying possibilities. The water seeped in through the seams, creeping closer with every passing second. "No, no, no!" I screamed. Not the dead body water.

My hands scrabbled at the wooden confines, nails clawing desperately, seeking a way out. But the wood was unyielding, my efforts futile against its ancient strength. The water rose steadily, a relentless force that mirrored the dread in my heart. "I don't want to die like this!" I wailed, my voice raw with terror. Time seemed to stretch and contort, the seconds feeling like eternities as I fought against the cruel inevitability of my demise. "Somebody, please!" I sobbed, my voice breaking. "I want to live!"
