Brooke
"Boo hoo," Auriana said, laughing as she finished my makeup.
"Auriana, I'm still your princess," I teased.
She fell on her knees mockingly. "Yes, your highness. How dare I speak to thy divine goddess in such a manner?"
"Shut up."
It was a new day, and unfortunately, I had classes. I had to stop skipping because I was becoming a little bit addicted. If I continued any longer, I'd end up skipping till 5th grade plus we had subdivisions powers, and it was my less hated class as compared to the rest
"But, princess Brooke, why don't you dye your hair at once? You keep dying it in bits; that's odd."
"Because I'm odd," I responded, half-joking.
"You're ready for a sad day in class."
"Don't remind me."
I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked beautiful; Auriana was very good at her job.
I took my book bag, ready to leave. "Oh, and Auri, can you clean my space? I feel it's a little bit dirty."
"Sure."
"Don't touch the blue bag."
"Yes, ma'am."
I opened the door to see Celeste standing there. I gave her a look of confusion and went on to the class. I wasn't in the mood to exchange petty insults.

I groaned, listening to Professor Unshe rant about our elements. I hate when teachers don't get to the point. Less yapping, more practical. Today we were learning how to use ember light. A way to determine our opponents' feelings during a fight to determine their next move.I groaned, glancing over at Ramon. He was focused on what Professor Unshe was teaching. I looked at Jamal, and he gave me a half-smile. There's progress, I guess.
"Practical."
"Brooklyn and Jamal , Start. Jamal, attack Brooklyn. Brooklyn use the ember vision to determine what he's about to do."
I looked at Jamal, and he smiled at me. I summoned the flames, directing them to my eyes. Jamal had a smile on his face and pretended to be concentrating, but he couldn't care less about what was going on.
He raised his hands, summoning flames to my ribs, but his emotions and flame intensity said otherwise.
I created a flame shield to my head, which was where he was aiming it.
"Perfect!" Professor Unshe clapped.
"Ramon, you're up next; you're going against Brooklyn."
Ramon nodded, coming up; he was in a stance. I smiled at him, and he frowned, not responding to my smile.
"Start".
Ramon frowned as he aimed for my heart. I summoned the flames to my eyes. I gasped.
What? He was actually aiming for my heart.
