8. The Truth (1)

As Gio climbed on the bed with his mate his heart was beating so fast. The adrenaline in his body rushed. His hands became sweaty. He wanted to cuddle with his mate so bad, but he knew he needs to control his needs and first tell his mate everything. But as soon as the thought came to him, he looked at his mate trying his best to get close to him without being noticed. The omega looked so cute trying to sneak around that the older alpha just wanted to give what he wants. But he also reminded himself that first thing is for his omega to forgive him.

"I know Levi what you want, but first can we talk? " Gio asked in the sweetest and softest voice which melted Levi's heart.

"We can talk....... But can't I just hold onto you. Ju... Just for assurance. " Levi pleaded with his eyes. Gio tried his best but then he had to give up and make his omega happy. He signed and rubbed his hands on his face.

"How can I say no to you." Gio opened his arms for his small, adorable omega to crawl into them. As soon as the alpha gave permission, the younger omega obliged to it and hugged him with all his might. Even Gio was surprised with the strength his little omega had, but he also needed this he just hugged the omega who fits perfectly in his arms back and buried his face in the omega's hair. Both of them just inhaled each other's pheromones to calm themselves and relax in the presence of their mate.

After a while the omega poked the alpha with his little fingers on his chest. Asking him to tell the truth. Gio takes deep breaths. He knows this could be the final moment with his mate or the start of their long journey together.

"It's a long story, Levi before I start telling you anything I want to be sure that after you hear everything you will keep it to yourself and would not get involved into this. I know this could be hard for you, but it is for your own good so please promise me you will not speak about this to anyone. It doesn't matter if you forgive me or not after this, but you still have to promise." Levi looked up at his alpha, his eyes locked with the golden of his mates. He nodded and held onto Gio even more strongly.

"Words little one, I would only accept the verbal agreement" Gio said, Levi blushed at the nick name.

"Yes....alpha" Levi said shyly. Which the older guy definitely loved. Gio pulled his omega even more close and kissed his hair. Levi blushed at the small gesture his alpha did to him. Then Gio started his story.

"I..... I was 9 back then. I don't know if you know I had an older brother who was almost 11 years older than me. It's pretty weird my parents did not have any children at that time. But they said they were not wanting many children. I was unplanned. But they still loved and treated us equally. At least that is what I thought until that day." Gio took a deep breath and closed his eyes shut. Levi did not know what happened, but he could feel that his mate was hurt because of that. Levi rubbed his small hands up and down on the alpha's chest soothing him, which did effect in calming the alphas emotions.

"My brother Dario Moretti was the finest alphas in the whole world. He was supposed to be the next king and rule the country. Back then he was on a mission to look for his mate. He had gone to most of the nearby packs and looked for his mate. Until he turned 20. He was sent on to the border to check what is the status there. That was his regular duty. In time to time, he would go and petrol the country's border. In the force located there, he spends a lot of time there with them. I always looked up to him, he loved me and brought me many things from the places he has been to. I was waiting for his arrival that time too. He always will send a letter before his departure so that we can make arrangements accordingly.... This time the letter he sends said he found his mate and is bringing them with him. Everyone in the palace started to make preparation and the Empress and the Emperor was also happy."

Levi was intently hearing everything he felt that his mate grew up in such a happy and loving family. But he was also curious to know about Dario, as he has never heard of this name before. Not even that he has never heard anyone say someone else was supposed to be the king, that Gio had an older brother. But Levi is a good listener he did not interrupt Gio in between he silently listened to everything and let Gio speak.

"It was raining heavily that day when he came back, due to heavy rain there was an accident that happened in the east palace so most of the servants were busy there. When I heard Dario is back, I ran to meet him. Haha it was funny, as soon as I saw him, I jumped to hug him, and he just caught me with ease. 'Easy boy, how are you doing?' He asked me and ruffled my hair. I giggled and responded. I loved it how he was always loving toward me and our family. But then I saw a small figure behind him. I was about to ask who that person is when the Emperor and the Empress came to greet  their son....... The Empress was the first to ask about that little figure behind my brother. He smiled and moved aside held onto the little guy behind him. 'This is Enzo Amato, my mate. Isn't he beautiful'...... I was mesmerized when I saw his mate he was so pretty and beautiful. His golden hair and silver eyes were so attractive. His small frame and his fair skin made him look like an angel. My brother was always a happy man. But that day he was the happiest, he had his mate beside him. Even I was happy. I greeted the new member of our family. Enzo was hesitant when I extended my hand to shake with him, but he smiled and did that when my brother reassured him. Even his smile was beautiful."

Gio was describing another omega so fondly that Levi did not like it, but he could not say anything to interrupt him either. So, with a sour mood he listened to the story ahead.

"Both the Emperor and the Empress greeted them and then asked me to go back to my room as they had something to discuss with them. I did not want to go but also, I did not have any other choice. Dario told me to go back to my room and he will come soon to give me my gift. I was looking forward to the new gift to be added to my collection. When I went back in my room I still wanted to talk to my brother and hear stories about his trip too, but I waited for him to come. After almost 2 hours sitting in my room and waiting for Dario, I was getting impatient, so I decided to go to my brother's room. When I reached there the room was empty. Assuming that the meeting with Emperor and Empress was not over yet, I walked to their room. When I went there, I saw the room was locked and no one was around. There was loud banging on the door, and I was afraid at first, but then I heard my brothers voice 'Let me out of here, don't you fucking dare hurt him. He is innocent' his voice had so much sadness and anger in them I was afraid of it at first. But I slowly moved closer to the door and opened it. As soon as the door opened my brother barged out, he looked at me once and just ran towards the exit. I was shocked to see him so angry, but I followed him knowing something must have happened to make him like this. He ran towards the east wing, and I followed behind him he was so fast. It was hard to keep up with him.... When I reached the east wing, my brother was standing there in shock and looking at them...... "

Gio closed his fist he was so angry at just the thought of that site. He pulled Levi close to him in a tight grip. Levi also felt like his alpha was hurting so much so he held him tight and rubbed his hands on his sides soothing him.
