13. The Banquet

The room is filled with bright lights and the strong fragrance of rose. The Empress loves roses. The whole of the banquet hall is decorated with rose. Gio specially made sure that everything is perfect today. It is a big day for everyone.

The round tables that lined up the hall had a silk peach cloth with a little laceing on the ends. The soft cousion chairs also have a peach color. In the center of each table a vase of roses was kept. The guardrail was filled with red roses and leaves, it gave such a nice compliment to the white marble stairways. In the center was a huge chandelier hung on the ceiling. At the entrance there was a palace bowl filled with water with floating candeld in rose shape and rose petals, on either side of the door. The boarders of the door was also decorated with roses and with a hint of peach mixed in between. A red carpet was set from the entrance to the seats for the Emperor and the Empress. The seats resembled like the throne chairs but it was not as big and royally made. These chairs are simple yet elegant. They are almost white if you look from afar. But they have a little peach mixed in them. There was also golden design made at the boarders of them. There was a huge rectangular frame set just behind the chairs. It is the same color as the chairs without golden. On the top right corner the edge was filled with fresh red roses and green leaves. There was a green branch which rolled down on the frame. At the bottom left another set of roses and leaves were decorated perfectly.

Everyone present in the room was mesmerized by the decorations. So many females and omegas gasped and awed at the sight in front of them. And when they got to know that the soon to be king of the empire is the one who came up with this decoration, they all got excited and wanted nothing else but to be the one for whom the king would do something just like this. Everyone had the same thought that if he did this for his parents then for his lover he can do what not.

Hearing these whispers one particular omega was getting flustered. He could not believe that Gio did all this and also felt sad knowing how it is going to end. Levi arrived almost half an hour ago at the banquet with everyone. His eyes has been fixed on the staircase ever since Blake told them that Gio and the Emperor and Empress will come from there. Blake also mentioned that Gio will also have someone he would be escorting. So Levi should not thing badly of this. To play the part Gio has to make them think that everything is going their way. Levi did understand that and braced himself but still the thought of seeing his mate with someone else made his heart tight and suffocating. Only the thought of it was making him feel that way, he could not even imagine how it would be when he has to experience that sight.

It was almost time for the Royal Family to come out and make their presence known to each and everyone in the banquet. Levi was getting nervous as his hands started getting sweaty. He clasped his hands and fidgetted with his fingers. He took deep breaths to calm himself down. He turned to his left where he saw his reflection in the window. He was wearing a light blue suit with a white turtle neck underneath. His curly brown hairs fell perfectly on his cute little forehead. His ears were decorated with silver studs. Werewolves can not have silver on their bodies but what Levi was wearing was not pure silver, hence it did not weaken him or hurt him in anyway. In his right hand is a smartwatch with white stap. His shoes were also white.

He looked just the perfect beauty for the alphas and betas around him. Even though the females and the omegas thought so too, but they would never accept that. So they scowled seeing him calling him names for no reason. Levi did knew about the gaze that follows him and how he has tried to avoid so many approaches since he came here. After Blake angrily told the approachers to get away from his family they all got scared and stopped there moves. Well only Blake knew if he hasn't done that they all would have died miserably.

Ava put her hand on his shoulder and nudged him to look at the staircase. He was brought back to the present and looked up as the soldiers voice echoed through out the room. "Bow low to The Crown Prince Giovani Moretti and Miss Cydney Jhons. " Just as the words were spoken everyone in the room bowed down and the door opens to reveal two figures coming out hand in hand. Gio on the right and Cydney on the left. She tried to make Gio wear the same color as her dress for them to look like a couple, but she failed miserably. She thought he was ok with this before but he straight away refused and ordered a new set of clothes today. Which shocked her to the core. Her dress was a pistachio color gown. It was an off shoulder dress with balloon net sleeves. It fitted perfectly on her upper body showing her slim waist. Her breast showing from the sexy cleavage and the splits of the neckline. It became fluffy down her waist and a slit on her left side showed her sexy leg. She let her hair loose and only small flower accessories were there to gave compliment to her dress. Long golden earrings were hung on her ears. She looked like an angel. Many alphas were gawking at her.
