3. Reunion

"How long will you take to complete it?" Blake rolled his eyes as he waited for Giovanni to look through the papers he just brought in. He was already getting impatient as it was getting late. He promised Ava to get back home in time. His in law's were coming today and he was missing his mate very much. He glared at his boss who does not understand his heart. He wishes that Gio finds his mate soon and let him go home soon.

"aahhhh.......Done!" Gio grinned and blinked innocently at Blake. As he extended his hand towards Blake to return the papers back. Blake in return glared even more and then rolled his eyes signing taking the papers from his hand and starting to look through it just in case Gio intentionally left something unchecked. Gio this whole time looked at his beta or his childhood best friend seriously. 

"What's so important that you want to go home this soon. I mean I know your wife is pregnant again and you want to be with her. But it's not the usual time you leave. It's earlier than that. Did you tell me beforehand that you will be leaving this soon?" Gio raised his brows and looked at Blake pointed eyes as if his best friend was hiding something very important from him. 

Blake completed looking through the papers and put them in his file. He turned to face his boss who was again acting like a child. Gio always had this weird thing going, ever since Blake got married, whenever Blake would ask for leave or to go home early. Gio would think Blake is cheating on his mate. Even Ava has gotten used to Gio suddenly showing up at their place to check if he was telling the truth or not. Well, it's not like Gio could help it, his best friend was a playboy before he found his mate. Even though Gio knows how much a mate can affect someone's life. But it still shocks him seeing Blake like a total lovesick person. So, he would doubt him sometimes. He loves to tease Blake and enjoy seeing his reaction. 

"I did tell you Gio that my in laws are coming and I have to be home before they arrive and help Ava prepare for dinner. She is all hormonal, and I would definitely be scolded if i did not arrive on time and do everything she ask's me to do." Blake answered frustratedly he knew Gio already knew why he had to leave soon but he does not want to go through this all over again.

Gio realizing that he really forgot, he hummed and waved his hand to let Blake go. He did not want him to stay for long.  Hell being a king, he could not handle Ava's rath. So he decided before Ava could mind link him, he should let him go. Gio swirled in his chair as he faced the French window in his office and looked at the night sky. He heard the opening and closing of the door. He smiled and felt good for his friend. He looked at the moon outside the window and wished the moon goddess to let him meet his mate soon too. It's already been years since he started looking for his mate.

He closed his eyes and imagined how his life would change when he finally has his mate in his arms. He would shower his mate with all the happiness in this world. He would even dance like a clown to make his mate happy if that is what they wish for. A gentle smile broke on his face as he thought about the unknown future with his mate and their children. 

Hands wrapped around him and rested on his chest. Gio did not have to open his eyes to know who it was, he already sensed someone approaching him but knew they wouldn't mean any harm. He did not say anything just let whatever was happing happen. "Wow are you really going to ignore me, you are such a meanie. You left early in the morning after our steamy night together. You know it hurts waking up alone after a good exercise in bed." A female seductive voice said sliding a finger up and down Gio's arms. He did not hate this person, but he would not say he loves this person either. Even though his mother and sister want him to marry Cydney. But he could not bring himself to marry anyone other than his mate. 

Gio grabbed the hands around his and gently untangled them from around him and stood up to face the person. His eyes were gentle but not as gentle as when he thought about his mate. 

"Cydny, you know I have lots of work to do. I could not sleep for so late. And you were sleeping so peacefully so I could not bring myself to wake you up." Gio took her hands in his and brought them to his mouth and placed a sweet kiss on each of her hands. Cydny blushed at his words. Gio pulled her in his arms and hugged her as they sway looking out the window to the beautiful night sky.

Levi rang the bell outside the house desperately as he waited for his siter to open the door. Till the door opened he did not stop ringing the bell. The door opened with a bang and an irritated pregnant Ava came outside to glare at Levi and then gently greeted her parents hugging them tightly. Levi did not wait for her to welcome them inside he ran to see his chubby babies. And as he came inside, he saw both the cuties sitting on the sofa and looking towards the door to know who came. Levi let out an aw sound and ran to hug his babies. Both the kids jumped down the sofa when they saw their uncle Levi came, they ran to him and hugged him tightly. Making Levi giggle and carry both the babies in his arms and swirled around hearing their blissful giggles.

Ava came inside and looked at her brother who was acting like a child. She rolled her eyes and called Blake. "Honey I am done with the cake." Blake came announcing that his job was done. He hugged Aiden and Mia as he asked them how their journey was. All the elders had a small talk and Levi and the children played and laughed. 

Blake came to greet Levi. Even though he has only met Levi 4 times in total he knew the young omega was a nice soul. He loved him like his little brother. He also knew how much Levi loved the kids, and how the house would be a little too noisy for a while. Blake smile and patted the  omega on his head and ruffed his hair smiling brightly. 

"Heard you did a great job in your exams again. I am proud of you." Blake smiled. Levi blushed at the compliment and squeezed the babies in his arms. 

"Thank you." Levi mumbled. He would not be this shy, but he knew what Blake said was genuinely coming from his heart and not just some worthless words. 

"How about you all freshen up and then we will have dinner together?" Ava asked clapping her hands together. Then she glanced at her brother who was still playing with her kids and said sheepishly "Till then the truffle cake would also be ready." Getting her little brother's attention as he got up and then bent down back like forgetting something and kissed the kids on their forehead and then asked where his room was and ran in that direction. Everyone looked at him and laughed at his childishness. 

Levi's ears would perk up as soon as he hears his favorite dessert being mentioned. He ran as fast as possible towards his room and washed up in lighting speed changing into his pajamas. He rushed downstairs first and drooled as the nice, sweet aroma of truffle cake made his way to his nostrils. 

Seeing Levi like this both Ava and Blake chucked and offered this little kid a chair to sit and start digging even before everyone arrives. Though Ava only let him have a small portion of the food. She wanted to have dinner with everyone. Levi patiently ate what he was given as he waited for the others to join them. 

After everyone else was done washing up. They came down to eat dinner with everyone. The dinner was filled with laughter's and joy of the reunited family. Later Mia gave out gifts to everyone and again saw how his youngest was acting like a child with her grandkids. She signed; she knew this would be the sight she would be seeing for the next few days.

I am now excited about how they will meet. And looking forward to finding out new things about the characters. I have not yet decided about how they would meet but I have few plans in mind. Hope the one I write will also be the one you guys like. Enjoy your reading!
