11. Comfort Zone

It was already midnight the room was dark and only the moonlight was enlightening the room. No noise was heard it was like no one was in the room. But 2 figures were lying on the bed one too shocked and scared to say anything and the other soothing his mate.

Gio knew this truth had a troll on his mate's mind. He was holding Levi in his arms and rubbing soothing circles on his small of a back. Levi was holding his breath the whole time while Gio told him everything that happened.

"Don't think too much. I know this is a lot of information to take, but believe me when I say this I will make sure nothing happens to you. You are my mate my life my everything I will make sure you are safe." Gio said after a long silence. He put his hands on Levi's shoulder and made him look in his eyes. It broke Gio's heart to see his mates eyes damped with tears. His hands caressed the soft and tender cheeks of his mate and then wiped the tears off his cheeks.

Levi held both Gio's wrist with his small hands, looking into his mates beautiful eyes. "I... I know you will keep me safe. But I am not worried about me. It scares me to think what you are going through. I was not by your side for this long and you had to deal with all of this alone." Levi sobbed and his chest became tight with just the thought of his mate going through all of this.

Gio reassured his little mate that he was fine and everything was going to be alright. He kissed Levi's forehead and gently massaged his scalp.

"So what should we do now? " Levi asked after a long silence. After hearing all of that he was already shaken up but that does not mean that he would back away from this. One thing was very clear to him and that was he will never leave his mate and will do anything to stay by his side.

Gio looked at his mates determined look and chuckled. "For now let's lay low. I don't want them to find about you right now. In two days on their anniversary, when they are planning to announce my marriage partner. I will disclose everything about them and introduce you to everyone. Till then can you endure a little?"

"Of course I can. I am very strong, Alpha do you know I am also the smartest omega in my and the neighboring packs." Levi said smugly to lighten up the mood.

Gio gave a small laugh and kissed the tip of his mates nose. "I know you are a smart one. And why not you are my omega" Gio said teasingly.

Levi gasped "Alpha you just took away all my hard work of the years away with just one sentence. Just because I am your omega doesn't mean I am smart. I am smart that's why I am your omega. " With his pouty plum lips Levi stated. He amused his alpha with his words and the way he talked to him. Till now Gio only saw his mate getting hurt or crying because of him. Seeing him talk  like this made the big Alpha proud.

"Yes yes my little one, you are totally right. And now I also heard you have not eaten anything yet. So how about a late night snack date with me?" Gio asked raising his brow. Because no way in hell would he let his mate sleep empty stomach.

Just as Gio mentions food Levi's stomach made a loud grumbling voice, causing his face to heat up and his mates face to crack into a huge smile. Levi got up all embarrassed and tried to climb down the bed, but before he could do that Gio held his hand and got up from the bed and stood in from of his mate. He knelt down in from of him and held both of his hands.

"I know we started of wrong, but Levi baby I promise that I will makeup for this whole my life. You deserved better than what I gave you and for that I am really sorry. Please give me one last chance and this time you will not regret it. You are my everything you are my love, my luna, my mate, my home and my comfort zone. Please forgive me for my wrongdoings." Gio tried to control the tears in his eyes. He did not wanted to seem like some creep. But only he knew how much it hurt him seeing his mate like that because of him. And for that he really will makeup for whole his life.

He waited patiently for his omega to say something, he could not dare to look at him after he finished speaking. He knew it was shameful of him to ask for forgiveness now. But he wants a better start now, that too if Levi forgives him. Although they already made a plan but he still has not asked for his forgiveness and has not been officially forgiven yet. So he will wait for it. Even if he had to wait for whole his life for that.

"Alpha, how can I be angry at you. You do not ask for the forgiveness because you did nothing wrong. You wanted to protect me. Trust me if I was in your position I would have done the same." Levi cupped his mated face and made him look in his eyes. When they locked eyes Gio realized how mature and understanding his omega is. He smiled softy and noded. Levi smiled brightly seeing his alpha doing the same.

"So now Alphaaaaaaa, let me eat something I am very hungry. Or should I sleep empty stomach. Or should I punish you in some way. Well I forgave you so that's not an option." Levi rambled on making Gio laugh and shake his head. He stood up and held his mates hand. His heart was beating so fast all because of his mate who did wonders on him.

"Come on baby I'll fill you stomach up. But this time with food." Gio winked at the omega and teasingly said as he started walking towards the door. The smaller guy turned into a tomato after he realized what his Alpha ment. Levi hid his face with one hand and followed his matw our of his room.

They have a beautiful time munching on their snacks and chit chatting. Most of the time Levi rambling and pouting while talking about his antics. While the Alpha loved to be all ears and capture his mates each and every movement he made.

Though it was late at night but because of the situation in the house no one was asleep. When all the others heard the sound in the kitchen they checked on them from afar. Getting to know everything is alright now everyone just silently without disturbing the new mates, went back to their rooms for sleep. They were glad everything turned out to be good.

After snacks Gio tucked his mate into the bed and gave him a good night kiss on his head and was about to leave, when he saw his mate pouting and his arms crossed on his chest. Gio raised his brows to know what happened.

"I know this is asking for lot. But I don't want you to go. Can't you stay with me for a while, or better can't you sleep with me tonight. We just cleared the problems and are together please don't go Alpha." Levi looked at his mate with teary eyes.

How can the big Alpha say no to his beautiful mate. He signed and tucked the lone stand of his mates hair behind his ear. "I would love that little one, but I can only stay till you fall asleep. It's already dawn if I don't get back soon they will get suspicious. And no it's not asking for a lot, you can ask or demand of ne whatever you want." He said while gently strocking his mates cheeks.

Levi felt warm hearing his Alpha's words. "Then stay till I fall asleep." Levi said still pouting but accepting the offer. He scooted to the side and made room for his mate. Gio got under the covers and pulled his mate to him.

"Well few more days baby and I will hold you to sleep every fucking night and when I wake up you will be the first thing I will see. Just few more days." Gio said inhaling his mates scent. Levi became puddle in his mates arms.

"Alpha you have no idea, how much I have craved for a mate. I wanted to share everything and anything with you. To sleep, eat, wake up and do all the other crazy things with you. So be ready we will have so much fun in our lives together ahead." Levi stated looking into his mates golden eyes and smiling warmly. He nuzzled his face in his mates chest and resisted himself from marking him and covering him with his scent.

Gio smiled warmly realizing his mate has relaxed into his arms and is now asleep. He would also love to do all sorts of crazy things with him. He stays in his comfort zone with his mate for a little longer and then he will have to drag himself out of here to that hell hole. But for now he will enjoy this peaceful and loving moment of his life.
