Chapter 48

RIA'S POV

Teddy and Jason picked Enrica and I up from school because Cole and Dante were sweeping the club and meeting with additional security before we show up tonight. I think it's overkill and I would rather stay home but everyone else is excited so I need to get on board.

Truth be told I'm more excited about my date tomorrow. I know Cole has something planned and as much as I love our group things I want Cole to myself once in a while. My Cole not "Mr.DeLuca" or "Capo" the one reserved just for me. Tonight I'll have to suck it up and share him.

Enrica came over to get ready with me. We picked out this dress that Cole is going to HATE but I love it. Is a dusty blue, satin mini dress with a sleeveless square neckline, spaghetti straps, a cutout waist, and side ruched seams. It make my ass look phenomenal and the color makes my eyes pop. It's simple yet perfect.

I'm pairing it with my Cole necklace some silver dangley earrings my Aunt Antonella bought me and some silver chunky heels. I have my hair curled and half up in a high ponytail. Cole should be happy that his name will be visible twice on me. I'm finishing up my makeup when he makes his entrance.

"Hi beautiful" he comes and kisses the top of my head then crashes on his back on our bed. "Sorry I couldn't come get you. The meeting with security took way longer than I thought."

"That's ok amore. Teddy and Jason went shopping with us so it worked out. It is almost 8 now though you should start getting ready."

Cole groans."Fucking hell. This is going to blow." he stays on his back with his arm draped over his eyes.

I roll my eyes. "I didn't want to go out tonight you and Remo practically forced me. Now you're acting like you don't want to go." I put my mascara away kind of aggressively. "I'm ready. I'll be down stairs with Enrica. If you don't want to come tonight, I get it stay here, sleep. I still need to go because its technically for me. I don't want to drag you out if you're going to be angry and miserable the whole time but please don't cancel on me tomorrow."  I stand up from my vanity. He takes his arm off his face and sees my whole outfit for the first time.

He sits up on the edge of the bed and calls me over to him. I walk over and he holds both of my hands. "You look beautiful."

My mood brightens a little.

"I'm sorry. I've been in a bad mood all day you can ask Dante."

My annoyance is immediately replaced with concern. "What happened?"

"Nothing baby I'm just in a mood. But I want to go out with you. I promise I'll behave. I'd never cancel our date tomorrow. My mother would kill me if I even thought of that but most importantly I want you celebrate your birthday and have fun. I'll go get dressed and I will have a great time too. I dont want you worrying about a thing. I love you."

"I love you too." He pulls me closer so his head is in-between my boobs now and his arms wrapped around my waist. He's clearly exhausted or something is bothering him. I'll get him to nap with me tomorrow. I scratch his head and play with his hair trying t1o comfort him.

*bang bang bang bang*
A loud pounding at the door ruins our moment.

"Che cosa?" Cole snaps.

"Ri, come on" It's Remo yelling from the other side of the door. He completely ignores Cole. I try to hide my smirk. "Frankie is here. Let's do shots."

"I'll be right down." I yell out to him. I turn to kiss Cole but he's giving me a death stare.

"Shots?" His voice is deep but soft.

"Yeah, I got the ok from Laura to stop the medicine after I got sick. We're going to run some more tests and monitor me some more but for now I actually get to be a normal teenager."
