COLE'S POV
I'm pulling up to Vinny's and I feel guilty that Ria isn't with me. She's been saying she's exhausted lately but I think she's just being Ria and closing herself off. I know Frankie and DC were going to try and get her to come tonight. I had a meeting in the city to go to with Sergio so I got dropped off at the warehouse changed and came here.
I obviously don't have any Irish shit so I'm wearing a green Alice In Chains t shirt solely because I know Ria will love it. I hope they were able to convince her to come. I have been texting her all day but she never mentioned it. I walk up to the bar grab a jack and coke then go out back behind the house and see Dante and Frankie.
I go dap them up. "Where are the girls? Is Remo bringing them?"
"No Remo is here somewhere. They're all showing up together." Frankie says. He got into the spirit and is wearing a shirt that says St. Patrick was Italian. Ha!
Just as he says that Remo walks up holding a drink. He's in a shirt that has green beer that says Italian drinking team. I cock my head to the side and point at his shirt.
"Avery. She's neither Irish or Italian but likes beer so she got matching shirts." He just shrugs and sips his drink.
"What about you? Enrica didn't want matching outfits?" I ask Dante. He is just wearing a Celtics shirt.
"Oh she did." Dante says rolling his eyes. "I was able to talk her down to this. She's probably going to show up looking like a naughty leprechaun or some shit." He scoffs and finishes off the drink in his hand.
I laugh.
"Were you able to invite Ria?" I ask him.
"Yeah" he rubs the back of his neck with his hand nervously. "She said she didn't want to be around people."
I just sigh and take a sip of my drink.
"It probably didn't help that you screamed at her." Frankie said lighting a blunt.
"Um what?" I clench my jaw and stare at Dante who was grilling Frankie. He looks at me when I start yelling. "We're trying to get her out with us. How is yelling at her going to make her want to do that?"
Frankie and Remo are just passing the blunt back and forth not caring their best friends are getting into a fight.
"I know dude. Enrica's been super upset and worried about her and I didn't want her to think this is going to be ok when you're in jail. I just got aggravated." He glares back at me looking frustrated.
"What the fuck Cantano. What did you say to her?" I shove him. I never call him Cantano.
"That I didn't want to see the look on Enrica's face when Ria wasn't here." He steaded himself ready to swing at me.
"And that you told her to grow up. That you didn't really give a shit if she showed up. You were just babysitting her and she was just a job." Frankie adds exhaling.
"What the fuck Frank?" Dante yells at him.
Frankie shrugs. "I like blondie and you've had a stick up your ass lately and making it everyone else's problem. That's usually his job." Frankie points at me.
I shove Dante again and begin to crowd him. "You told her to grow up? Are you fucking serious? She was fucking sexually assulted DC! What makes you think you can be disrespectful to her?" Best friend or not at the end of the day, Ria is my woman and Sergio's daughter. Dante stepped way out of line.
"Look I said alot of shit I didn't mean. I was pissed off."
"Want to see what the fuck happens when I'm pissed of Dante?" I begin to charge at him but Frankie grabs me.
