Quentin was off Stark Industries work today but not his work. Once again down in the workshop working on his technology. Nobody was forcing him to do this it was just a passion project. Tony had texted him earlier about how they were driving to Washington D.C. for the Weapons Hearing. He wanted to go but he was  told that he wasn't really linked to the events that went down.

Even though he was also Tony's assistant. Pepper got to go and that made him feel things but he pushed it away and ignored it for now. Maybe he was overreacting, it wasn't that big of a deal, was it? He rolled his eyes to himself before patching up some of the loose wires hanging out of the build. From the sounds of it so far it didn't sound good.

"I am no expert in weapons uh- we do have someone who is an expert in weapons though, I'd like to call Justin Hammer."

Quentin looked over at the tv. Hammer Industries had been a bit competitive recently, mostly online. Since this was regarding his friend the man decided to give himself a break and watch what the lunatic had to say. Beck was no super genius when it came to stuff like this but he did know a good amount and listening to the CEO of Hammer Industries talk gives him a headache. He grabbed a water bottle and walked from the work area over to the lounge, taking a rest on the furniture to get a better look at the screen.

"Anthony Stark has created a sword, with untold possibilities." The audacity of using his full name like that. Who does that? Not only does Tony Stark have a nice ring to it, it's also the one that everyone uses. Quentin wasn't one for violence but he swore every time he heard that idiot speak he really considered it. "And yet he insists, it's a shield. He asks us to trust him as we cower behind it." The unpaid assistant rolled his eyes.

Sure in a public eye it seemed dangerous but behind closed doors he has seen the wonders that is Tony Edward Stark. He's seen him be committed to helping people and protecting this country. He has first hand seen the passion in his eyes so it was quite hard for him not to snicker or groan when people make insane claims. Even taking five minutes out of your day to do a little bit of research even showed the goodness Iron Man has done. What a bunch of hippy, dippy, baloney these claims were.

"Now let's see what's really going on." There was his best friend. There he was. Quentin knew a lot about Tony but if there was one thing he hated it was fake news. They tried to manipulate the public that people were succeeding on recreating these types of suits but Stark had a different idea. Using his little device that he carried around everywhere he had hacked into their little presentation.

"I believe that's North Korea." A video of what seems like a threatening piece of work had ended up collapsing on itself.  "Iran," A similar situation that was a bit graphic so the man had to squint his eyes to try and block it out but it was working. Tony was proving his point and he was proving it well. "No grave, immediate.. threat here- is that Justin Hammer?" Not only did he prove himself... but he also spotted Justin trying to do the same thing he claimed he was against.. how interesting.

"How did Hammer get into the game?" He wasn't sure what happened next as the cameras had turned away from the screen. The board discussing and the crowd whispering as Tony just  sat there looking pretty. "Wow.. yeah I'd say uh- most countries five, ten years away, Hammer Industries.. twenty." He snickered. Even in a stressful situation Tony always came out on top with his unbeatable one-liners and sense of humor. Hammer tried to chime back in but was shut down, finally.

"You want my property? You can't, have it!' Oooh, his voice when he's- wait- no, stop. This is serious, focus. "But I did you a big favor," Tony stood up out of his seat and turned around to face the audience. "I have successfully privatized world peace." The billionaire threw up two peace signs as the people clapped for him. Clearly the hearing was over so Quentin stood up and went back over to continue his work.

They were going to be fine.
