The years were flying by. Quentin and Tony graduated soon but before their class does next month the school wanted a talent show as a send off event. Tony agreed to do an acting gig with Quentin for theirs as a sendoff for his class as well. Tony had suggested that they do it silently and with no talking and Quentin agreed saying it would be a nice challenge. The two had made their script and practiced it for awhile too.

Quentin taught Tony how they faked a punch with angles so they decided to make it a comedy act as well. In fact they were waiting backstage for their names to be called. Quentin was organized and liked to write everything down so he had and handed the paper to Tony, who was more laid back and whatever happens, happens- type. Tony had his prop on his lap while Quentin was reading the directions out loud and trying to demonstrate for him as best he could from his seat.

"What about improve?" "We can do that but it's good to have a script to follow as well." Was how the conversation went. Tony had quit his act when he noticed how upset it was making Quentin so there the two sat. Going over their act while waiting to be called. They didn't have to wait long and off they went when their names were called.

Quentin was on stage first, his character was a guy running late to somewhere so he entered and pretended to look at his watch, using his facial expressions and body language to show what his character was feeling. The music playing was something you'd hear in a chase scene. A comedic chase scene. He walked around in a circle looking around before running to the right, that was when Tony entered. Carrying an already broken project while looking around not paying attention.

Bam. Quentin walked right smack into him. Tony dropped his project on his foot, pretending it hurt while Quentin broke the fourth wall to look the audience with a mime like response, causing a few laughs. When he was distracted Tony tapped him on the shoulder. When Beck turned around they had both moved at a certain angle where it looked like Stark socked him. It must of worked cause the audience gasped as Quentin fell like a cartoon character. The act was going according to plan.

When Quentin was back on his feet he circled his fists around, showing he was ready to fight but when Tony moved closer to do the same he took off running around the stage. His character was a coward, like him, while Tony's wasn't so it was comedic when he pretended to hide in the curtains only for Tony to always be a step behind him.

After a few minutes of running around on stage it was time to wrap it up. Quentin held out his hand to stop Tony in his tracks. Now was the final act where Quentin took out his wallet to try and find money but the joke was it was empty, confirmed when he turned it upside down and shook it. Tony getting more and more annoyed as Quentin got more and more nervous. Next was the pockets, pull one out, empty, pull the other out, also empty.

The more he struggled the more the audience laughed, finally it was time for the reveal. He walked closer to Tony and pulled the money out from his ear. Which in reality, Tony had it in his fist and simply handed it over just then. Quentin offered him the cash as a peace offering and it seemed to have worked. The two made up and went their separate ways. Until Quentin had walked into him again. Nervous smile and anger before running off stage with Tony chasing behind him.

They were tired but they could hear the clapping and cheering as they were catching their breaths. "I think we did well." Quentin said.

"Really? I messed up so many times." Tony admitted.

"Yeah but they don't know that, only we do since we saw the script." That helped Stark quite a bit. As far as the audience was concerned whatever mistake they made could just be part of the show.

"Did your coach teach you that?"

"No actually, Sammy did."

"Oooooh. Who?"

"They played The Lion in my first play."

"Oh! I think I met them."

"Yeah you did! Their advice, along with yours, really helped my stage fright so thank you."

"No problem Q-Tip." Tony gave him a little head bonk before messing up his hair. The act was a success. Now they were just waiting on the winners. This could take awhile.

-----------------------------------------------------

The final act just ended. All the contestants were now waiting back stage as the host was talking. They were currently counting up the voting cards for each act. Quentin was hoping they'd at least place in the top ten but Tony insisted that they'd make the top five. He was always the cocky type.

"And in third place, with fifteen points is.. Quentin and Tony!"

The two looked at each other. Quentin quite thankful and Tony disappointed they didn't get better. Beck went ahead and dragged him on stage, accepting the small bronze trophy they were given before giving some bows. Quentin was quite humble about it while Tony was flexing his ego by flirting with the audience.

"Give it up for them, very well done boys, very well done!"

Tony was still bowing and blowing kisses to the girls sitting in the front so Quentin took it in his own hands to grab him by the shirt and drag him off stage. Stark could be quite the handful but it was nothing Beck couldn't handle. In fact he dragged him all the way to the car. Of course he wasn't mad and they talked on the way there. Laughed even. They had the perfect spot for the trophy.

On the shelf.
