~Major Time Skipping Is Going To Be Happening From Here On Out To Save Time!~
-~-
Usually, Quentin would have to sit out during class trips. Elmore didn't care enough to sign his permission slip. Even if the young Beck would try and trick him into doing so, but, anything that Quentin showed interest in, Elmore didn't like. This, however, was different. When the trip was announced yesterday, every student was excited except for Quentin, and Tony knew instantly.
Technically, a guardian can sign your permission slip. It wouldn't be fair to orphans. When their history teacher accepted both permission slips, Quentin could honestly cry. Even if it was a boring location, such as a museum, he didn't care, he finally had the chance to go. Throughout the day from then on to History class was Quentin unstop thanking Tony for letting him have his privilege for a day.
Tiffany glared from her seat at the two friends. Laughing and goofing off without a care in the world. That unfortunately wouldn't be the case. She turned to her left and watched Eli, the student who was forced next to her without either of them having a say. They were actually quite cool and had a small secret.
Stark tapped his friend on the shoulder to hand him a stack of cash. Quentin didn't even know you needed money for these things, he was still so new to this, and Tony must have caught onto that confusion when he hesitantly took it.
"It's for the gift shop." He stated.
"There's a gift shop?"
"I mean, I dunno, I'd assume so. Most museums have one. It'll probably also have a food court, so if there's no shop, you can at least get something to eat."
Shortly afterward, their teacher walked in.
"Okay class, as you all know, today is the field trip." A bunch of children cheered, cutting the man off as he waited patiently before continuing. "We will have a buddy system to assure that nobody gets lost." And with that, Tiffany was out of her seat with her hand raised.
"Excuse me, Mr. Richard, but I'd love to be Quentin's trip buddy if it's okay with you."
"What?!" Tony shouted as he also stood up. "Sir, I think it would be a much better idea for me to buddy with Quentin! I think he'd prefer it also!"
The adult looked between the two children, who seemed to have grudges against one another, by the way they were exchanging glares. As for the picked student, he was faced downward into his desk. He let out a heavy sigh, knowing that the other wouldn't like his answer.
"I know you tw are very close, but Tiffany did ask first. However, I will let you be bus buddies."
"No! No, that isn't good enough! She's a-" Tony looked down to see Quentin gripping his arm, a terrified expression on his face. That's right... he's not allowed to snitch. Stark was panicking also, maybe even more so than the victim, since he knew what could happen when he isn't present.
"Well, since nobody has snatched him up, I volunteer to be Tony's partner!" A girl from the back of the classroom had said.
Kimberly wasn't in this class, and plus, her history class had already taken the field trip. Tony's internal panic was only noticeable to Quentin, as the boy slowly sat back down in his seat with a widened stare. Defeated, by two girls. Just like Tiffany had planned.
"Excellent! Tony, you will be Samantha's trip buddy. Now then, let's get the rest of you paired up, and then we can start making our way outside to the bus."
Quentin wasn't that happy to go on the field trip anymore... Tony was also regretting finding him a way to participate. He tried to get him to fake being sick so that he would have to stay at the nurses' office, he'd do the same so they could stick together, but Beck protested, explaining his punishment if he would try to ditch her. The young celebrity turned his body to face the girl behind them, growling slightly under his breath as she just sat there grinning. At least physically... mentally, she was frowning for what she'd have to do.
