It took a long while but Quentin was finally getting over everything. He successfully invented a dog translator and for the last year and up he had been perfecting his barks, ruffs and woofs to be able to actually become fluent in dog. Of course his vocal cords weren't made to make those noises but he did his best. So far Laces and other random dogs could understand what he was saying so that was a good sign. Plus body language was just a walk in the park now.

Quentin never actually fully explored himself. His heart belonged to Tony but obviously all signs have pointed to that ship sinking before it even got to sail. So the man decided to socialize and maybe crack open his dating life by chilling traveling to a gay bar that was quite a distance away. He ordered a few drinks and checked out his surroundings as he waited. There were multiple games of pool and darts going on along with a few make out sessions at the back of the building.

"Excuse me," A man's voice spoke, "May I sit here? Everything else is full."

The man was a bit shorter than Quentin, he was dressed a little too fancy. Beck just nodded politely before scooting over for the stranger. It reminded him of when he had met William but, more awkward. It was almost like the world had come to a stop with just how awkward this whole thing was. Quentin thanked the bartender when his drink was slid to him.

Eventually the two men had a conversation going. The man's name was Todd and he worked as a salesman who made a decent profit. Quentin on the other hand avoided work related questions cause.. he didn't want to get into his Stark Industries hurt again. The man kept pushing so Beck just spewed out some nonsense about how he worked as an online Travel Agent.

The topic shifted from work career to hobbies. Dean brought up that he was quite fond of inventing or anything technology related. Todd said he was into Magic and in fact begged Quentin to let him preform a trick for him. He wasn't doing anything so he agreed. He took out a deck of cards before presenting them.

"Pick a card, any card."

"Okie dokie." Quentin hummed before pulling a random one out of the deck. "Don't show you right?"

"Yup." Todd responded while shuffling the cards.

Beck downed another drink before turning back to face the man but his face dropped. Todd had put on these orange tinted sunglasses. Before his very eyes the man seemed to morph into Stark. Quentin already knew he resembled Tony quite a bit but he was trying not to let it bother him...but, this was the final blow on his cake.

"I'm sorry, I have to go." Quentin announced while grabbing his coat and standing up.

"What? Where are you going?"

He didn't answer, instead he speed walked out of the building as fast as he could. He felt terrible and he knew it wasn't the man's fault but he just couldn't. He sat down in his car and looked up the closest hotel. He was too tired to drive the three hours back to the city so this was the best solution. Once he had directions pulled up he rode away.

Finally checked in Quentin laid down onto one of the beds. He didn't have any luggage or anything which was definitally a new for him seeing as when he would travel with Tony they always had suitcases. It was lightly raining and the sound made the environment peaceful and calming. He could of fallen asleep here until there was a knock on the door.

As any normal person would think he assumed it was house keeping. When he opened the door however, it was not staff. It was Todd. He followed me? Quentin thought as the man pushed the door open more.

"Was this your card?"

Quentin was flabbergasted and it wasn't by the magic trick. This man must of followed him from the bar all the way to his destination... just to finish the magic. Talk about committed.

 "Did you follow me??"

"Yeah, was this your card?"

Needless to say Beck didn't feel bad anymore. He proved that point by shutting the door in the man's face. Although he guessed Quentin's card correctly the man just wasn't about to deal with a crazy stalking magician. One thing was for certain though..

No dating for him anytime soon.
