It was showtime at last. Janice figured out that Peter Parker had a school field trip to Venice, Italy which Fury later confirmed with the phone call he promised. Quentin didn't know that this plan was going to involve so much travelling. The strike was supposed to happen in Europe, London to be exact and the director promised the soldier that he'd get Spider-Man there. Thankfully the water monster made sense with the location Peter was currently at.
A giant body of water, nobody would find it suspicious. So here he and most of his crew were now. They had just unloaded their luggage and began to head to a small building they rented out. To make sure they weren't recognized they did a small clothing haul of cheap tourist like style. Quentin hummed as he slipped into some tight pants.
A bluish like Hawaiian shirt met with a black cap. It was comfortable to say the least and that's all that mattered. Everything was set up. The soldier strutted down the roads of Italy with the phone to his ear. It was the summertime so he might as well be doing the people a favor getting them a little wet.
"Do you see him?" Doug asked.
"I've got eyes on him." Quentin responded while making his way over to a change station or in America, an ATM like place.
"What's he look like?" Gutterman asked.
"He's in blue." Beck responded while getting into position to blend in. "Way shorter than we would of thought." While the soldier waited he admired the beauty of the country before confirming. "William, we all ready?" The man asked while standing off to the side to blend in.
"Yup, we're all in position over here. Showtime on your word."
Quentin turned to look over his shoulder, phone up to his ear. Peter luckily had his back turned but thankfully he was one of those people that you'd recognize. His Blue backpack was a major give away. Almost immediately after Peter wandered off.
"Beck is everything okay??" Doug asked on the phone.
"Peachy, he just left my area." Quentin responded while walking the opposite direction. "I'm going back to get ready. Let me know if anything suspicious happens."
"Will do." Gutterman responded.

Back at the base Janice was helping suit Beck up, helping him make sure the censors were in the right places and that he was comfortable. It was light weight and comfortable enough for long-time wear. She was amazing at designs.
"Thanks Jan."
"No problem." She adjusted the black straps over his torso and smiled. "Good luck."
"William?" Beck asked.
"Ready." The weaponist responded.
"Victoria?"
"On your set." She replied while holding the remote in her hands from under the attack site.
"Gutterman you have eyes?"
"Yep, he just walked past me." Gutes responded. He had walked down the dock not too long ago when the target passed by while talking to a girl.
"When do you think we should start? Doug what do you see?"
"Nothing yet but I say start." The man responded. He wasn't exactly standing out in the open but more in the background to scope out when people would least expect such a threat.
"Alright, let's take it slow. Can we get some small waves?" Quentin asked while getting further into position.
"Small waves coming up." Will responded.
"Gutes, Doug, what do we think?"
The two men caught up with each other near the building and nodded. "Showtime." They replied in union.
"Alright crew, let's flood this city." Quentin grinned.

Quentin was already exhausted and he wasn't even there. Thankfully he had already done the movements for the monster. A prerecording was what was being casted. What he had to do was be the hero. Be the soldier.
Everything was going fine until the kid tried to talk to the man. That wasn't part of the plan. "Gutterman Peter is trying to talk to me, I need a voice line."
"Uh-" Gutes responded, flipping through his notebook. "I need to lead it away from the cannel!"
"Perfect thank you." The man replied while turning on his mic to repeat what he heard. Thankfully it seemed to work, Peter was off his back leaving him to be able to do the rest. Finally.
Even if it was fake Quentin couldn't help but smiling at the praise he was receiving. Claps and cheers as he had just 'saved their lives.' He gave in by giving a salute before pressing a few buttons to make the soldier blast off.
Once out of sight he took his tech filled helmet off and let out the sigh he had been holding. Quentin was exhausted and he just wanted to relax. Janice walked over clapping while she began to remove the bulbs and other tech off of his Mo-Cap suit. He thanked her with a head nod before allowing himself to sit and breathe. The show was a success and now he could relax.
That was what he thought anyways until his phone started ringing. Beck groaned as he struggled to grab it before answering. "Hello?" He responded hoarsely.
"You better be available tonight Mr. Beck. I'm bringing Spider-Man to that location we discussed."
The soldier made a questionable sound before Fury continued. "It's not until later tonight so rest up and meet me there at nine."
"Okay." Beck responded, so tired his phone felt heavy.
"I'll leave you alone now. Remember. Nine o' clock." And with that Fury hung up. Quentin laid back and closed his eyes. At least he had time to recover and maybe even take a cat nap. The second elemental attack was a success. Two down, two to go.

Quentin arrived a few minutes early. He showed up in his uniform with his elemental history drive ready to be shown. He knew his character's backstory, he had the ring, he memorized his lines.. everything was good to go. He was always very careful with his planning. Afterall, he didn't want to hurt anyone.
When he was welcomed in he was introduced to the members of S.H.I.E.L.D. who would be helping as well. Fury wasn't there at the moment as Maria had told him that he went to pick Spider-Man up so that the two could meet. One of the oddballs that stood out was a taller gentleman with a huge beard who was addressed by the name of Dmitri. A name that the soldier would hear again.
-~-
Peter was nothing like Quentin was expecting. He was shy, smart, very awkward and other teenage like qualities. He even gave the soldier a name. Mysterio. At least that's what they were calling him on the news. Beck liked it. It had a nice ring to it. Mystery Man. It was perfect. Why didn't he think of that?
Fury already had a plan for how to get Peter in Europe so the rest of the operation was more travel. The crew packed their bags and once more headed for an airport. At least he'd be able to snooze on the plane. Afterall, all this back and forthing was exhausting. He checked in with his team about the name of the soldier and luckily everyone agreed that it was a good match.
If only Stark could see him now. See how much he's grown. He wasn't that scared, weak, small boy anymore. Now he was the fierce and almighty Mysterio. Three Avengers rolled into one. The new hero of the world. Some goddamn credit.
