The next following days were awkward to say the least. How did he move out without telling Wade the reason? Well, thankfully he had managed to figure it out, but it was one of the first times Quentin had seen him upset... and Beck couldn't blame him. With no context, it seriously did look like he was just dipping for no reason.

Maybe he should have told him to help avoid an argument... or maybe he already knew something was off? Wade almost always seemed to always know whatever Beck was about to tell him. It was so weird, but I guess he wouldn't have to worry about it anymore, since the guess was as good as his that they were no longer friends... Maybe 2016 was his fault...

Well, after that little hiccup, Quentin began his packing. He packed his suits, his tech, EDITH, his guitar, clothes and anything else that was important to him. Along with a few snacks before he hit the road. With Wade leaving before he could offer the key, he ended up selling his apartment. Which kind of really sucked as he put a lot of hours into designing it. Oh well.

Arriving there again was awkward. Otto welcomed him and pointed him in the direction of his room. He even got a little starter package. It consisted of the key card to get in and out of his room along with some basic hygienic supplies like deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and more. He was also introduced to the other members.

The guy who opened the door for him, on day 1, was Kraven The Hunter. Apparently he was the world's best hunter. He had a thick Russian accent and used technology like traps to capture his prey after he'd track them. Quentin called bullshit, but he turned out to be the fool when he unexpectedly stepped in a trap hours later. They both could already tell they weren't going to be too fond of each other. What was worse is their rooms were practically next to each other.

Quentin had taken place of a member who was arrested. The Vulture. Spider-Man had got him captured back in 2017 leaving the group of six with a group of five. He could even recall reading about the alien technology and whole thing in a paper from that year. Crazy how it changed his life so far.

The next member was Electro, otherwise known as Maxwell Dillon. He had an amazing sense of humor and a pretty cool ability. Electricity, hence his alter ego. Max and Quentin bonded over their shared disability of autism, but also how they both wanted something similar. To be seen. So far that goal was going quite well.

Next up was Dmitri or otherwise known as Chameleon. When Otto revealed that he was the one behind Quentin's stalking, the man couldn't help but wonder how he didn't notice. Well, it turned out the reptile was... well, a chameleon. Using technology that he invented himself, he could actually disguise as real people. It was one thing to see himself as an illusion, but impersonated by a real human? Terrifying but impressive. It also turned out he was Kraven's brother, which was kind of cool, but Quentin knew he should prepare himself for their bickering if they're siblings. Oh boy.

There was one other member, but it seemed like nobody ever talked about them. Quentin tried to ask about it while they were all introducing themselves, but all he got were answers such as; "They're never around." "They're a troublemaker, so we're not really allowed to talk about them." Or just a simple topic change. It all seemed fishy, but if he were to live there, I guess he'd have to listen.

Finally, there was Doctor Octopus, otherwise known as Otto Octavius. He was the boss of the group along with his four tentacles. Flo, Moe, Harry and Larry, who each were in charge of different things. Harry and Larry were mainly to help him balance, while Flo was the one to pick items up. Apart from his stupid haircut, Quentin really liked Otto. He seemed fascinating and kind.

He helped him get settled in, gave a quick tour of the base, and even let him have creative control over designing his new room.  Another fresh start, but this time he was a crew member to a boss. Everyone seemed pleased and happy with Otto as well, so he knew he'd be in good hands. Or claws for a haha joke. In a little under an hour, the new Quentin Beck bedroom was decorated. He even got his own bathroom, that's insane!!

Since Mysterio was new, he was excused from the chore hat so that he could get used to everything first. The first thing he checked out was the lab, and boy was it huge, along with the kitchen and other rooms. Otto's department was upstairs, members weren't allowed up there. Maybe he'd try to sneak up there one day. At the end of the day, though, he was happy. Not only was this a new, amazing job, but also an opportunity to make friends again.

And with an amazing boss like Otto, it could even have a chance to heal the trauma Stark had caused. Life was great.
