The sunlight directly hitting on my eyes. Why though? How is there a sunshine when my room is in the basement?

I pop my eyes open to see an unfamiliar room. It's decorated with old and vintage furnitures and flowers. I quickly got up and looked around. Where am I?

I spotted a small hand mirror on the table. I grabbed to see a beautiful woman on the mirror.
Snow white? No. She had black hairs and black eyes. This lady has blonde hair and her eyes are . . . Wow. Camel brown eyes. She's so pretty.

Knock. Knock.

Huh? Who the hell is knocking?

"Come in!" I yelled.
Wait what happened to my voice suddenly. It suddenly got a little so sweet.

"Lady Katherine." she greeted. "Hope you had a pleasant sleep."

What's wrong with her? Why is she suddenly calling me Lady Katherine-
Wait a minute. Wait a god damn minute!

"Am I . . ." I hesitated to say. It might seem crazy but let's give it a try. "Am I . . . Katherine . . . De Windsor?"

She looked at me like I've gone crazy which is a valid thing to do.

"Uhm . . . Yes?" She furrowed her brows.

Oh fuck. I'm doomed. I fucking reincarnated into an adult romance novel. I can't believe it! How is this even possible?

"Lady Katherine?" She calls out my name. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you early in the morning..." She says. She looked like she would get killed anytime soon.

That's right. I'm the villainess of this novel called "The Duke's Desires." I was a teenager when I first read it and got addicted to it. The name attracted me so much that it lead me to a dark world.
A world of dark romance. I'm sure every girl's has experience this at least one time.

Jokes aside, Katherine De Windsor gets engaged to the Grand Duke, Darcy Carrington. The actual male lead and the most powerful being in this emperor and probably in this novel but the worst part is, Darcy Carrington never liked Katherine because she was clingy and never cared about anyone except for herself. The love of Katherine De Windsor to Duke Darcy Carringon was toxic, chaos and poison. After the appearance of the female lead, the duke falls in love with her like in all novels and when Katherine hears the news of them getting married, she immediately gets into the way of the female lead and makes her life miserable. The duke takes immediate actions and kills Katherine infront of the whole city to show what will happen if anyone dared to raise a hand on the female lead.

Touché.

Why couldn't I be the princess of the Royal Highness or the female lead? Why the Villainess? I would appreciate it even if I was a maid working in a nearby Inn.

"You're destined to die, Luna."

The words rang in me. It's the last word I heard before I woke up here.
Right, I was drinking with my boyfriend, Alan. He said those words.

He killed me . . . didn't he? First, I die by the hands of a low class jerk whom I accepted as my boyfriend and now I'm reincarnated into a beautiful novel and was given a role called "The Villainess".

I should just jump of the cliff. I sighed.

I look at the maid who's been here for a long time probably wondering what in the world is happening.

"Oh right." I smile. "Do not be afraid of me. Can you please bring my breakfast?" I held her hands.

She looked surprised and shocked, "Y-Yes, Lady." She didn't waste any time and got out of the room to get my breakfast.

Now, I have a lot to do . . .

First I will meet the Grand Duke, face to face and break up with him. Since we still aren't engaged so it wouldn't be a problem to the people outside and Darcy hates me so he wouldn't refuse.

Second After breaking up the engagement, I'll have my own life and avoid all kinds of death and earn my own money.

And the story will end without me getting killed and the male lead and female lead living happily ever after.
