Katherine De Windsor

Darcy and I were on our way to the Waiting Hall. I still don't get it why Arthur always come to see me in the palace. Is he still suspicious of me?

Most of the time he would ask me some questions about my likes and dislikes and other unnecessary things which doesn't even make sense for a king like him.

We opened the door, revealing two beautiful man sitting on the couch, having a conversation we don't know of.

Arthur Arlo Carrington and Vincent Nova Clan.

Why are two majesties in the same room? That looks like a pre-war.

"Greetings to Your Majesties." I curtsied.

Darcy just stood there, raising his head like he is the king. No, you are not. Men and their ego. . .

"Katherine!" Arthur shouted out my name. "It's been ages. Isn't it?"

"What brings you here, Your Majesty?" I asked ignoring his rhetorical question because someone's burning up.

"Oh-!" Arthur took a glance at Darcy and said, "Do not get me wrong, I simply came here to pay a visit to His Majesty Nova Clan." He then looked at Vincent, "I was notified that he wouldn't visit the Royale Palace but here so I had to come here."

"Make sense." I said.

"So. . .when will you depart, Your Majesty The Nova Clan?" Arthur turned around and faced Vincent with a clever smile.

So rude. He's definitely Darcy's brother.

"Call me Vincent. I do not like that long respected name of mine especially from people who do not know how to respect the king of the other empire." He glared at Arthur.

"Vincent-!" I yelled out his name, totally forgetting the fact that we are not supposed to be close enough to call each other's name.

I earned both glances from Arthur and Darcy.

I cleared my throat and spoke again, "It is rather rude if you talk to your cousin's husband and brother in law like that."

Vincent stared at me with a disgust while Arthur and Darcy smirked.

Vincent stood up from the couch and came towards me. Darcy stepped infront of me, hiding me behind his back.

"Move." Vincent said facing Darcy.

"I do not take commands like that." Darcy replied.

Vincent's jaw tightened, "Katherine, I see you've managed to seduce all the boys in the mansion and outside the mansion. Hmm?"

Oh no. That tone of his. I know that. He's going to spill everything. Every truths.

I froze on spot, unable to reply to him. Darcy and Arthur looked at me in confusion.

"Remember that, a man has his own limit of patience." Vincent smirked. "Take your decision wisely.

Fuck, I will get suspicious at this rate. What do I do? I turned my gaze down, unable to face him.

Before I could react to anything, Vincent hit the ground with a loud thud.

What just happened?

I saw Darcy's fist tightened, Arthur's face shocked and Vincent's face teary.

Did Darcy just punch him? Did he just punch a Emperor? How could he-? He'll be punished!

"How dare you disrespect my wife like that." He glared down at Vincent who was still on the floor, at the verge of crying.

Alan was always the type of person who'd cry if he didn't get anything. I had the audacity to date a cry baby like her.

"Remember, a man has his own limit of patience. Choose what you say to my wife, wisely!" He yelled repeating the same words as Vincent.

He then held my waist, providing a sense of protection like a real husband.

"Why do you care?!" Vincent yelled, still on the ground. "You are going to get divorced anyway!"

There it goes. I'm back to the reality. It is true. We did decide on that. We'll get divorced soon. . . So why did I dream of having a happy life with Darcy when in reality, I'll also disappear oneday.

Vincent's words kept on ringing inside me like a brick falling into my head.

"How did you-"

Before Arthur could finish his sentence, Darcy spoke, "Divorce?"

That made me turn my gaze to him.

"Divorce is a thing for a couple who hates each other." He looked down at me. His gaze softened, "Do we look like the type of couple who'd ever hate each other?" His soft smile, calming me down. Melting me in the inside.

"B-But-!"

"How could I ever divorce such a beautiful, intelligent and precious woman?" His red eyes now telling me it's the eyes of love, not blood. "It'd would me my absolute lose, wouldn't it?" He's still holding me tightly like he doesn't want to let me go.

"Darcy-"

"I could stare at her all day and never get tired of her. I could spend my hundred lives with her without any hesitation. I could sleep beside her all day and never get bored of the faces she makes while she sleeps." He chuckled making me blush.

Arthur is looking at us, making me feel embarrassing.

"You hate her!" Vincent yelled.

He shook his head, "Quite the opposite. I am in love with her." He smiled at me softly, my heart fluttered at his response.

Darcy Arlo Carrington loves me?

"I love you so much, Precious." He kissed my forehead. "So fucking much."

"Even God can't keep us apart." He finished.

But you are wrong. I will leave soon, leaving you behind with this warming love and affection. Would you still be able to love me if I do that? Would you still feel the way, if I leave you alone, Darcy?

I want to tell him everything but what would be the point? It's not like if I tell him, I'll be able to stay by his side. No, I'm born to die like all humans. I can't take it.

Tears were dropping from my eyes and Darcy wiped it up with his thumb. "I'll love you forever, Precious."

That was enough for me to fight for his love. I love him too. I don't want to disappear leaving him behind.

I'll fight for you Darcy. I will fight for our love.
