Katherine De Windsor

I came running out of the carriage where Darcy and me were about to...

No! No, we weren't! He just leaned forward because the carriage bumped into something yeah.

It's getting hot.

"Lady Katherine-"

Before Adam could finish his sentence I brushed past him and ran towards my room.

I didn't even look back to see if he was following me or not but my legs were leading me to my room.

I quickly went inside my room and closed the door with a huge slam noise.

I turned to see Briana looking at me with a concerned face.

"Lady Katherine, what..happened?" She asked getting a bit worried.

"N-Nothing...just-" I stammered.

"Did His Majesty do something with you?" She asked widening her eyes.

"No way!" I say loudly. "His Majesty is a really good person." I defended him without even knowing.

It was true though. At first, he was giving me a mixed signal but later on, as I talked more and more, I came to a conclusion that, as a king, he is a really chill person unlike Darcy.

Speak of Darcy...

How could he do that to me? He-

Knock. Knock.

Who the hell is it now?

"Come in!" I shout.

"His Grace." I hear Briana saying.

I turned to look at Darcy who was looking directly at me.

"I'll leave you two alone." Briana curtsied and left the two of us alone.

"Lady, I believe we have a conversation to deal with." He spoke so formally that it scared the shit outta me.

I couldn't help but tense up and feel a spike of panic at his tone, which was strangely formal and intimidating. I found myself stumbling over my words and not knowing what to say in response. I was still feeling quite embarrassed and flustered after the previous encounter with Darcy.

"Y-Yes...N-No!" I say loudly. "I believe, there's nothing to talk about." I looked away, stammering.

"Is that so?" He asked, raising one eyebrow, his voice still remaining formal.

I nodded my head softly, unable to meet his gaze and feeling overwhelmed by the situation.

"Lady Katherine, I want us to talk freely and not hide behind the bush." He says calmly.

"Indeed, Your Grace." I curtsy respectfully.

"Let us forget the formalities and converse in a manner befitting that of a typical husband and wife," he proposes, his complexion slightly flushed.
