Moving on

Josie was putting all the luggage into her car when she turned to see Jade and Penelope arguing. "Babe, we're going to visit, not move there." Jade said with a pout, as she continued to carry four luggage's that we're only for Penelope. "Come on don't complain, I'm carrying yours." Jade chucked as she turned and smiled at her wife. "That's because I only have one big one, and one small one." Penelope laughed as Jade put in the rest of the luggage.

"I'm a real catch arnt I?" Jade laughed as she pulled Penelope into her arms and said. "Yeah, and I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world." "Mmmmm, me neither. I love you J." "And I love you Pen." They shared a loving kiss, as Josie just stood there smiling at her friend's happiness.

Josie was finishing loading everything when she heard Amy. "Mama." The toddler cried. Josie instantly turned and vamp sped to Amy. "What's wrong? What happened?" She asked worriedly, checking the toddler for any injuries. The toddler just cried as she clung to Josie. Wendy ran to them and said. "Babe you have to be careful, someone could have seen you." "But she's crying." Josie said with a sad look.

Wendy smiled at how far Josie was willing to go just to protect Amy. "She thinks we're not taking her with us." Wendy explained. Josie pulled away from Amy and wiped the tears away as she said. "Of course you're coming with us, little one." Amy stopped crying as she started to smile and hugged Josie tight. Josie hugged her back and pulled Wendy into the hug.

As they all drove to the airport, they went inside and got ready for the flight. When they got to Mystic Falls, Lizzie and Mg were there waiting for them, and as soon as Lizzie saw Josie she vamped into her arms and hugged her tight. Josie hugged her and said. "Your lucky nobody saw you." They both laughed as they pulled away. "I've missed you so much Jo." Lizzie said with tears in her eyes.

Mg walked to Josie and hugged her. They pulled away when they heard Penelope say. "Hey what about us?" They all laughed as Mg and Lizzie hugged Penelope and Jade. Josie went to Wendy and Amy. She walked them to Lizzie and Mg. "Liz, Mg this is my girlfriend and her beautiful daughter Amy." Mg saw how happy Josie looked and that's all he needed to be happy for them. Lizzie walked to Wendy, and for a moment Wendy was scared, that was until Lizzie hugged her and said.

"I haven't seen my sister look this happy in so long." She pulled away and made eye contact with Wendy and continued to say. "Thank you." Wendy smiled.

They all drove to Josie's home. When they arrived, Mg and Lizzie covered Josie's eyes and led all of them to the back yard. When they uncovered her eyes, Josie was Laughing with happiness when everyone yelled 'surprise.'

"My baby you're finally home." Josette said with so much excitement. "You look wonderful." Alaric said as he hugged her. "Move it's my turn." Steph said, making everyone laugh as he pushed him out of the way. "Your glowing baby, it must be your new lover." Caroline said, making Josie smile instantly.

As they all were talking, they turned to see Hope with Maya on her arm. Hope made eye contact with Josie and smiled. 'She looks as beautiful as ever.' Hope thought. "I want-" She was instantly cut off by Amy running to Josie with Wendy walking behind her. "Mama." Amy yelled as Josie turned to pick her up as soon as she reached her. Josie smiled as she kissed her cheek.

As Wendy reached them, she stood by Josie's right side, intertwining their fingers with her left hand and wrapping her right arm around Josie's right arm, as Josie held Amy with her left arm. Josie leaned down to give Wendy a gentle kiss. Hope looked at them, and anyone who truly knew Hope, could tell that her heart broke at that moment.

Smiling as they pulled away. "Sorry, I got held back helping with the luggage." Wendy said. "Let me guess. Penelope." Wendy chuckled and nodded. Josie smiled and kissed her cheek, then turned her attention back to Hope, signaling that she could continue.

Hope's expretion changed, she looked pissed. "I just came to give you this." She handed her the gift she had gotten her. Josie looked down at it, then back up at Hope and asked. "What is it?" "Here, find out for yourself." She said as she handed it to her, with a rude tone. Josie put Amy down and grabbed it. "Hope are you okay?" Josie asked

Hope was so angry that Josie couldn't see she had hurt her so she pulled Maya in her arms and kissed her deeply, in an intent to make Josie jealous. As they pulled away Hope said. "Of course I'm okay, I'm with the only girl I have ever truly loved." Josie smiled softly as she said. "I'm happy for you." Hope looked deeply into Josie's eyes and saw nothing but honesty. There was no jealousy or hurt.

The Saltzman/Salvatore family were proud and happy to see that Josie was finally and truly okay. While the Mikaelson family looked down in disappointment at what Hope had said and done. As the party went on, all Hope did was watch Josie from afar. "I guess it only took seven years for you to stop loving me." Hope whispered as she rolled her eyes.

"You know I watched her cry to sleep for four years, I watched Lizzie hug her as she cried for you. I watched her wait for you, I watched her dream that you would come find her and say you love her, and when you didn't, I watched her break, and die from within." Hope turned to see Mg looking at her with nothing but hate. Hope looked down as she said. "Mg, I-" Mg cut her off and said.

"I don't care what you want, feel, or think. Let her be, because after so long, I can see that Wendy and Amy make her happy. So let her be happy, let Wendy give her what you refused to give her." And with that said Mg walked away, leaving Hope alone.

Hope wanted to talk to Josie, so she waited for a moment where Josie would be alone, and when she saw her heading inside the house, she followed her. "Jo." Josie turned around and said. "Hey Hope, did you need something?" Josie smiled. "I just wanted to apologize for being rude earlier." Josie nodded and said. "It's okay." Josie looked down and saw a metal gold ring on Hope's left hand on her ring finger.

"You got married?" Josie asked with a smile, realizing that the hurt that once was there no longer is. "No, it's actually our wedding ring." Hope reached for the necklace around her neck and showed her her ring and said. "I kept yours too." Hope said with a smile, Josie looked at her and asked. "Why?" "Beca-" Before Hope could continue Wendy interrupted them.

"Babe can you come with me." Wendy said nervously. Josie completely forgot about Hope and walked to Wendy. Wendy grabbed her hand and led them to the front of the house.

"Should I be worried about you and Hope?" Wendy asked with a sad face. Josie smiled and pulled her into a deep kiss. "No, because I'm with you and you're all I need and want." Josie grabbed Wendy's hand and pulled her closer as she whispered into her ear. "Can I take you somewhere special?" Wendy nodded.

They got into Josie's car, and Josie took a moment to vamp to the back yard to let Jade, and Penelope know to look out for Amy while they were gone for a bit. And with that they drove away, not realizing that Hope had seen and heard everything.
