The night Hope had arrived home she was expecting to be met with a sleeping Josie, but when she entered her room and she was not there she quickly dropped everything and ran to the living room.

Mis. Rosa was dusting, and cleaning when she turned around and saw Hope with a scared face. Mis. Rosa knew why she had that expression on her face, but in order for Hope to understand just how much she truly Loves Josie, she would have to figure it out on her own. So instead of asking Hope if she was okay, she asked.

"Are you hungry? Mis. Mikaelson. The food is not made yet, but I can easily whip something up." She said with a gentle smile. Hope looked at her confused, yeah her and Josie were not on good terms, but she always made sure that when Hope came home there would always be food ready for her. "Rosa, where is Josie? She is not in our room, did she go out?"

Mis. Rosa looked at her with a sad smile and said. "Mis. Mikaelson, Josie left. Yesterday in the morning, Mg and Lizzie came to pick her up." Hope looked sad and just said. "Thank you Rosa, I'm off to bed now. Goodnight." She said as she walked away with a sad face. Mis. Rosa just smiled at her as she waited for Hope to be out of the living room, so she could turn off the lights and head to her room for a good night's rest.

As Hope made her way back into the room, instead of going to sleep she walked around the room, but when she looked at the side where Josie would usually sleep at night she was met with the divorce papers. As she made her way to them, her heart began to beat so fast it felt like it would burst out.

As she picked them up and sat down on the bed, she looked through the paper's and found that they were all sighed. She sighed as she kept looking at them until she realized there was also an extra paper that was meant for her, it was a letter from Josie, so she began to read it.

Dear: Hope Mikaelson, my love

I never thought I would be writing this, or that I would lose you in such a way. Even though we have had our problems, being with you was all that I could have asked for, but I understand now that you have and never will love me, so I set you free to be with the person you really love. I read through the divorce papers and I see you were willing to give me a good amount to leave and not insist on being with you, but I crossed that part off, I don't want or need your money Hope. I love you, I have since we were kids, I have loved you through the good and the bad, I have been with you to pick you up when you fall and to dance with you when you succeed. And because my love for you is so big, I let you go in the name of that love. You will always be the love of my life, but this is goodbye my love.

                       Sincerely: Josie Saltzman

As the letter came to an end, without realizing it Hope had begun to cry, and without understanding why, reading the last part hurt her deeply. 'This is what I wanted, I don't have to stay in this stupid marriage anymore. I'm finally free.' She thought, but deep down she knew she had made a huge mistake, in letting her go.
