Somewhere Only We Know

Chapter 3: Moving on

"Come on, Hope just give us a chance. This is what you have wanted since we met. What changed?" Maya said as she followed Hope. Hope stopped and turned, smiling as she rolled her eyes.

From the corner of her eye, Maya saw Josie walking to Hope, so in that instant Maya grabbed Hope and kissed her, when she saw Josie walking away with tears in her eyes she knew she had won, but before she could enjoy her victory Hope immediately pushed her away, slapping her in the process.

Hope walking to her and grabbing her by the throat. "Don't ever do that again. Get this through your thick skull 'I WILL NEVER BE WITH YOU, AND I WILL NEVER LOVE YOU!'" Hope said as she let go of Maya, and walked away, but before she could fully leave, she heard Maya say.

"You will never be happy with Josie, because she will never forgive you for leaving her to be with me." And with that they started to argue. "Shut u-" "You really think that one day she will forgive you. Hope you humiliated her and chose to leave her to be with me. Tell me could you forgive something like that." Hope froze in place. Her mind was running wild.

As she slowly came back to her senses she began to look around, noticing that they had attracted a crowd, as she looked back at Maya she felt so much anger, she was ready to rip Maya to pieces, when she heard Lizzie.

Lizzie walked to them, getting in the middle with Mg following behind. "Go." Hope took a step when Mg got in front of Lizzie with an angry expression. "Leave and take your girl with you." "No Mg, Liz, just le-" Lizzie cut her off saying. "Hope, leave and take Maya with you, because I will not tolerate this kind of disrespect on the day of my wedding. I don't know why you're arguing and I don't care, just leave bef-" Lizzie looked around with a worried look. Mg was confused at first until he finally caught on, Lizzie was worried about Josie. They both vamped sped away instantly searching for Josie.

After two hours of searching they began to get worried, they couldn't enjoy this special day like this. "Honey." Caroline said as she walked to them with a paper in her hand. "I thought she might've gone back home, but she wasn't there, and neither were her things, but she did leave this." Said Caroline with a sad face. Lizzie looked down at the piece of paper, she grabbed it with her left hand, and somehow she knew this was going to break her heart. But when She felt Mg wrap his arms around her, she smiled a sad smile. "You have no idea how much I love you Mg." She said with a sad tone, Mg just smiled at her and hugged her tightly.

Lizzie now held the paper with both hands as she began to read it out loud.

{Hey my beautiful family. This is so hard for me, and I'm sorry that I'm leaving without a proper goodbye, I'm especially sorry to you Lizzie and Mg. But today I saw something that made me realize that I wasn't ready to come back after all. So I'm leaving, and this time I have to do this alone. I love you all so much so please don't worry about me. Enjoy the party and be happy, because I promise that I will be back and that when that day comes I will be okay.}

As the letter came to an end, Lizzie let her tears go but she was grateful to have her mom's and dad's by her side and she was so grateful for Mg. After a moment of silence they all enjoyed the rest of the night knowing that Josie was going to be okay.

As time went by, Josie kept on traveling the world, seeing beautiful things, and having a great time. She was doing better, and she had made great memories and amazing friendships. After two years on her own she went back to New York to visit Jade and Penelope.

As she made her way into the foundation that Lizzie and Mg made she saw Jade and Penelope helping some people she waited patiently for them. But it didn't take long because when Penelope looked up she instantly smiled jumped up from her chair, scaring the people around her, including Jade, who turned to look where her wife was starting at, and when she saw Josie she had the same reaction and they both ran to Josie bringing her into a tight hug making Josie laugh and hug them back.

"Oh my god when did you get back, we thought you were at your home town." Penelope said with a smile on her face. "That's a really long story." Josie said, the smile never leaving her face. "Well we have time, so let's go get something to eat, you must be starving." Jade said. "I would love that, but you two have a lot of work to do." "No, don't worry about it, we'll just leave Wendy in charge." Jade said with a smile. "Who?" Josie asked.

"Oh we'll introduce you to her, she's my cousin." Jade said. Jade, Penelope and Josie walked to one of the office's and knocked on the door. "Come in." Was all that was heard from the inside. As they all went in Wendy looked up from her computer screen, making straight eye contact with Josie. And in that instant Wendy smiled as she stood up, something within her coming to life. Josie smiles back at her. Jade and Penelope looked at each other and smiled knowing that there was a spark between them. "Well we'll handle something before we go so you can hang in here for a bit, is that okay Wen?" Penelope asked. "Of course it is, let's go Pen." They both smiled as they left the two girls.

"Would you like to, um, sit down." Wendy asked, feeling nervous. "Sure." Josie said with a smile as she sat down. "Are you going to take a seat?" Josie asked as she looked at Wendy still standing up. "Oh yeah of course." She said as she cleared her throat. Josie looked around the office and stopped when a picture of Wendy and a little baby girl caught her eye. She smiled as she asked. "Is that your little sister?"

Wendy looked at the picture that Josie was looking at and picked it up with her right hand, she ran her fingers over it with a smile as she said. "No. She's my daughter actually." "Well she's beautiful, your husband must be really happy." "You would think so, but no he abandoned us the day he found out I was pregnant and he's not my husband." Wendy said with tears sliding down her cheeks. Josie's smile instantly faded away and without thinking or realizing she stood up and walked to Wendy, kneeling down right in front of her.

Josie gently whipped her left cheek with her right hand as she said. "You and your daughter deserve so much better." Wendy looked into Josie's eyes and without thinking, she gently brought her right hand to Josie's left cheek and gently leaned in as she rubbed her cheek with her thumb. "Thank you."

Both girls were so close with only an inch to separate them. They kept eye contact as they both saw in each other something special.

From the door Jade had her arms around Penelope and both smiling at the beautiful scene.
