I don't think that I had ever heard of a single graduate from Filmore's whose final score was over sixty-five. Which was just barely passing because any number under sixty-five and you didn't graduate at all. At least not from any of the other academies, but St. Filmore's just didn't seem to care. I have heard of them graduating, with honors, novices with combined final scores in the low twenties.

I suddenly thought of novices Ryan Aylesworth, Dean Barnes, and Shane Reyes. Those three idiots would make perfect graduates from St. Filmore's. All three of those idiots refused to do any more work than what was absolutely necessary to get a grade higher than sixty-six.

Where most guardians and novices were slim, but not overly so, and muscular due to their training. Those three idiots were most definitely not built like a normal guardian or novice. They were all three so lazy that they looked like they were three or four months pregnant. They were even pudgy in the face. Shaking my head and taking a deep breath, I realigned my thoughts with the task at hand.

"Are you permanently assigned to St. Vladimir's Guardian Williams? Or were you one of the guardians sent by court to fill in and guard the academy while we are all away?"

"I was assigned here the week before you all left the academy Guardian Petrova."

Well, that would explain why I didn't know him. And I prided myself on knowing all of the guardians that worked under me by name and on sight.

"Well, when I get back to campus you can expect for me to transfer you back to St. Fillmore's Guardian Williams."

"Thank you, Guardian Petrova, thank you so much." I could actually hear a smile in his voice.

This idiot actually thought that he was being rewarded, possibly even promoted!! Fucking imbecile!!! I couldn't help myself I was so angry that I slammed the receiver of the phone back down on the cradle.

For fucks sake even Alto would have had more damn sense than to fail to report a fucking possible attempted impending strigoi attack!!! Especially given the fact that there had been a very recent attack not all that far from the academy.

I can't believe that Kirova didn't tell me about this. I sure as hell hope that when Rose becomes queen that she gets us an at least halfway competent headmistress.

After calming myself down I called a meeting with all of the academy guardians that weren't currently on shift. And fifteen minutes later everyone was gathered in my temporary office here in the ski lodge. I knew that those that were present would tell the other academy guardians, that are on shift, what I was about to say so I didn't worry about it too much.

"Everyone, please quite down because I have an announcement to make."

They all followed my instructions and got quite waiting for my announcement.

"A few nights after we left the academy a group of eight to ten strigoi went around the academy testing the strength of our wards. They had humans with them, but they didn't make any attempts to stake the wards as was done at the Badica massacre site. They just walked the entire perimeter conducting tests on our wards."

There was a flurry of comments and questions amongst the gathered guardians. But I held up my hand once again asking for quiet so that I could continue. And when they all settled back down I began to speak once again. "This however was not reported to me, I only found out about it about twenty minutes or so ago. I also found out that Williams, graduate from St. Filmore's Academy, called and reported it to Kirova. Who as I said, did not inform me of any of this information at all. And still to this moment has yet to mention it to me."
