Ring ring... ring ring...

I groan, trying to ignore it. But, then I realise it's not my alarm, it's my ringtone. I slowly move to grab my phone from my bedside table, seeing the time is 7am. 'Who the hell is ringing me?' I think to myself.

Usually, I wake up at 7am, but I hit the gym pretty hard yesterday, so I was planning on sleeping in. I'm a goalkeeper for Chelsea, but I'm only one of the reserves, and it's the summer transfer window, so I'm just trying to stay in shape before preseason. I checked who was calling me, and I had a missed call from my agent, Lisa.

I unlock my phone, typing in the pin slowly and calling her back. It only takes a couple of rings before she answers and immediately squeals in my ear. I groan loudly, moving my phone away from my ear slightly, "Lisa, I love you, but come on, mate. I was sleeping in for once. Why are you squealing in my ear?"

"Well, you know it's the summer transfer window?" She chuckles slightly, sounding way too excited this early in the morning.

"No, I didn't know. I just thought it a week off from training," I answer sarcastically, "what is it, Lisa?"

"There are a few clubs interested in you. A few in Europe and the WSL."

"Lisa, I told you. Unless an offer is Arsenal or Chelsea wanting to sign a contract extension of sorts, then I'm not interested."

"Oh, I'm well aware," she speaks, getting even more excited, "and it's not Chelsea..."

I suddenly spring up from my bed and run out of my bedroom, running into my sisters room and shaking her awake. She groans loudly as I speak into the phone, "So it's arsenal?" I squeal into the phone.

My sister, Ffion, shoots up from her bed, loudly exclaiming, "WHAT?!"

I put my phone on speaker.

"Yes! It's arsenal. They're offering you a two year deal with the option to extend another year at the end of the season, and they've put in a record-breaking bid for a goalkeeper! They are offering you £275,000! Am I accepting?"

"YES! A HUNDRED PER CENT! When will I need to go sign my contract?" A wide smile falls over my face as I answer. I look up at Ffion to see she has a matching one.

"Next week. They'll be expecting you. Oh, and I checked and you'd be okay to sort your own housing. This way Ffion can go with you. You and I both know you have more than enough funds to sort it."

An: This is only a short chapter and sort of introduces Ellie and her sister, Ffion. Ffion will be supporting Ellie throughout the book and will play a fairly big part in the book. Just a forewarning, these chapters may not be regular just because of school work, but I'll try my best to get them out. If you guys would like me to add a photo of Ellies aesthetic and the aesthetic of her relationships with different characters in the book that will play a large role, just let me know
