Chapter 7 | Grey joggers and physics
'A simple truth? We'll never have today again.'

I cannot learn this song. I play the guitar and have done for a long while now, Pappa started to teach me when I was young and found him playing. He's quite arty but keeps it hidden, same with Gorka. I can't be asked to keep it hidden, I just play and draw when I fancy it, it's calming.
I'm trying to learn how to play 'Work song' by 'Hozier'. I love that artist but like he has to be a fucking genius to play this. It's been a couple of days since me and Tony were in the car and it was awkward the first day we saw each other but it kinda evened out and it's fine now.
I manage to fuck up the notes again but I just play through the pain when I hear a knock at the door and I run downstairs remembering Tony is supposed to come over for her Physics revision today and I don't want her smothered by mi mamma. I love her to pieces but she is quite a lot. I'm panting slightly when I open the door.
I really need to hit the gym again, soon.
'Hey, Tony.'
Her eyes travel down and I remember I'm only wearing my joggers and I still have my guitar around my neck.
Eye candy for her I guess.
'Hey, gorgeous.'
Well, that's new. I like that.
'Gorgeous huh? I've levelled up.'
'Well, have you looked in the mirror before you came down, and,'
She punches my arm softly, frowning slightly.
'you have never told me you play. That's not fair.'
'I didn't know you would be interested I guess, I draw if you wanted to know.'
'Show me, right now. Please.'
Those god-damned eyes are actually going to kill me, she's looking up at me and her eyes are wide and her lashes look so thick and dark and her outfit looks so comfy. She has brown joggers on and a matching hoodie with a Bambi design on it.
'Want to come in? Want a drink?'
'Can I have a water please?'
She steps across the threshold and follows me to the kitchen where I get her a glass of water and I get myself a glass of the lemonade I made yesterday.
'Are you sure you don't want lemonade, Bambi?'
She nods.
'I'm sure thanks, love.'
I nod and show her into my room, slipping my guitar from round my neck and putting it on the stand and moving the music sheet from my bed, clearing a space for her to sit down. I had a thought but now I feel awkward.
'What is it, you've paused big boy.'
'Do you mind if I stay in just my joggers? I can find a shirt if you would like.'
