I haven't eaten in days, I've just been cooped up in the house with my parents. It's actually surprising how I got away with not eating for days without them noticing. I was always forced to eat when we had events and had dinner as family, which we never really did all the time. We would always be busy. Not eating made me feel euphoric like when I smoked. I didn't do anything productive really, I usually would go out and explore the city but I just wrote some poems and slept. I just spent time with my siblings and we had our little chats. Later on We were having dinner and I obviously was forced to eat. "Umm.... Mom, how old are you?''I asked, trying to start a conversation at the quiet dinner table. "Ten years older than you." she answered. I'm twenty nine. "You're thirty nine. So you got married when you were nineteen?" I asked. "No eighteen, I had Zaid at nineteen and Ishan at twenty. '' she answered. I was shocked. " So He was in his thirties.''I said. She nodded, smiling. "Ishnaya is going to be the first girl in this family to marry after the age of eighteen." she said. Ishnaya was marrying Vijay. She's my twin sister. "It means I'm lucky." said Ishnaya lazily. I laughed.

"Very. Also where's the king?" I asked."In his room." answered my stepmother. I gave an oh look. That was weird. I stood up but someone caught my arm and pushed me back on to my chair. "Sit." he said. Men in black kurta's surrounded the table. He moved my stepmother from her chair aggressively. I stood up. "Dont you do dare touch her." I said. He grabbed my wrist. "Or what will you do." he asked. His voice was familiar. I stared at his dark brown eyes. There was nothing but pure evil, darkness and hate in those eyes. A dark forest, that had never seen light. He smirked. "Let go of my wrist." I whispered. He let it go and I punched him. His guards were about to grab me but he called them off. He was laughing. "I'll let that slide, go get your high and mighty king." he ordered. I was not going to do that, I don't follow men's instructions. Zaid went and brought his father. "Oh there he is. Finally decided to get out of his hiding place. My father requests your presence in our palace." he informed. "I'll be there tomorrow, Zaki " answered the king. Thats his name? Zaki was sitting on a chair. He made me sit on the floor in front of him. He held a knife against my neck. Vijay took the king outside. I smiled at Ishnaya and she gave a small smile. I felt Zaki's eyes on me. "Can I go now?" I asked. "Not until my father is done speaking to your father." he said. "I'm surprised you even still have one." I answered. "I'm surprised that you even have parents." he mocked. "I don't." I answered. "I can see the affects of being an orphan." he taunted. "I can see the affects of never being loved." I responded quickly. He was silent for a few seconds. "You see the game you're playing, I can play it better but I don't play with commoners. I respect myself." he whispered. Was he saying I don't respect myself? I didn't answer. Vijay came back. "Prince Zaki, I don't think its looking good." informed Vijay. Zaki grabbed my hair aggressively. "I guess I have take her with me then." he sighed. "I'm not going with you willingly." I argued. " Should I carry you or will you walk?" he asked. "I'm not coming with you." I said. He just carried me. "Put me down." I said, trying to get out of his grip. "Don't make a scene please." he sighed. "Ohk, then put me down." I argued. "Do you think I enjoy this? I want nothing to do with your family but I'm here because I was ordered." he said dropping me. That triggered my stab wound. I got up and he and his father left. What the actual heck happened? I don't understand what was the point of that? What did the king even do that made them ambush us.

I sat in the living room staring at him. "What was that all about?" I asked. "I owe the King of alzalam something, I can't give him what he wants so he wants something else in return or we create peace between our kingdoms." he answered. "And how do you expect us do that?" I asked. "Someone has to marry into that family." answered my stepmother. "Isn't Ishnaya doing that already?" I asked confused. "We're talking about the heir of the kingdom." she answered. "Who is this so called heir?" I asked. "Zaki." answered Vijay. I rolled my eyes. That pathetic excuse of prince. "Ohk, then who will marry him?" I asked. The was silence. Zaid looked at me. I realized what that meant." No. Get somebody else to do it." I answered. "He's going to be king soon, and kingdoms are lining up their daughters. The Kingdom of Alzalam is the most powerful. So if we can join forces with them, we'll be more powerful. When you get married to him and have a child you'll secure your place as Queen." answered the king. Thats absurd. What in the actual heck? " I'm not consenting to any of this nonsense." I said. "Its an order." said the king. "When is he being coronated?" I asked. "In March." answered Vijay. Its the 30th of January we had so much time. "You'll get married in February and get pregnant in February." said the king. "You'll also have to sesuce him and make him fall for you." said my stepmother. "Well I'm about as seductive as cabbage also he already hates me." I laughed. "Even better enemies to lovers." mocked Zaid. My siblings laughed. This wasn't funny. I dont want to get married.

I'm not ready for any of this. I don't like him

He wanted to kill me. How should I marry someone who has no regard for females?

"Tomorrow we'll have a ball to declare your betrothal." said The king. He was rushing things. I was so close to running away.

"You're not gonna run away. Ishnaya and your mother will stay with you tonight." he ordered. Smart king. I was really going have to do this, like really?
