Tainted :Unneeded love

Chapter five

Sidra

I woke up the next day and found a bag with all my clothes and few of my books. I showered in the bathroom and changed. I wore a white outfit, just because I wanted and I didn't want to go with the theme of this palace . I sat in the room writing. I didn't want to talk to people or even eat. There was a knock at the door . It was Zaim. "Good morning, aren't you hungry?" he asked. "No, but thank you." I answered. "It's concerning that you're missing breakfast." he sighed. "I understand you are concerned but its okay. I'll eat during lunch. I'm not hungry right now." I reassured. He nodded and I continued writing. He just stood there, he looked a little nervous. "Ask." I muttered. "Ask what ?" he asked. "Ask what you want to ask ?" I insisted."You'll say no so never mind." he put out. I put my pen down. "Ohk, I'll say yes then." I insisted. "Lets go outside and I'll show you the city." he hesitated. "Zaid put you up to this didn't he?" I asked. He nodded. "Ohk, Lets go then. I need the fresh air." I answered getting up. He was shocked. I didn't do outings but I did not want to stay in this palace. I couldn't even sleep with the energy that was here. We walked out of the palace. He was telling me about the history of the palace. All I could here was this enchanting voice. It was a female singing. "Where is that voice coming from?" I asked. "Its Ms Bhavani
Huq. She's the owner of that brothel. She has the most enchanting voice in the whole kingdom." he answered.
I was just pulled in by the aura. I walked in the brothel and started singing with her. She was shocked and seemed impressed by my voice. I must've inherited it from my mother and danced along with her dancers and she watched me. Zaim was standing in the corner. I had never had so much fun in years. It was like in a different world. When I stopped I was brought back to my old world. But for a moment, everything was just the way I wanted it. Its pity it couldn't stay like that. "You're an amazing dancer and singer. What's your name?" asked Bhavani. "Thank you, I'm Sidra Siraj." I answered humbly. "Katrina's child?" she asked. I nodded. "I could tell and your husband here is mesmerised beyond words like I am." she said. "Oh we're not married." I stated. She nodded. She asked me to join her for lunch afterwards. I agreed and left with Zaim. He was silent as we were walking. I didn't ask him, I didn't want to make things weird. We went to river and I sat next to him. We were silent. I actually liked the silence. He already had told me so much. He talked a lot ij front of me. "I'm going to fetch my sister Anjali, do you want to come?" he asked. I nodded, following him. We arrived at his sister's high school. She came out. "Hey Sidra and Zaim." she greeted. I gave a small smile. Zaim didn't show any expression. I took her books and we walked back to the palace. Zaim was a completely different person around his family. He sat down in the living where his parents were. He was really quiet. I just went back to the room i was in before. Anjali came with me. "I know everything is new to you but you'll get used to it. Zaim is moody, Zaki is Zaki and my parents are crazy but you'll be fine." she reassured me. I gave a smile.
She was sweet also I hadn't seen Zaki and Shreya. Weird. I wonder how morning sickness treating her. I knew that feeling, it was the worst. Ginger biscuits helped a lot. She's fine, she's got Zaki and her mother in law. She's got everything. Full package. I was obviously going to marry Zaim. I mean he's not a bad guy, he's the sweetest person I've ever met. It would be horrible if he had feelings for ne because I didn't feel the same way but maybe I could develop them. He isn't the worst guy. I went downstairs to ask Zaim to take me to the brothel but he was talking to Zaim. "Zaki, what you're doing is wrong? You have Sidra here whilst having another woman here." he argued. "That is none of your business. I don't answer to you and let alone Sidra. I don't care about neither of you. " hissed Zaki. "I see screwing Shreya has made you so smug. Well calm down I've done it too." snapped Zaim "Well atleast I could tame her." answered Zaki. "Oh, I see the game you're playing at but don't you dare forget that I am older than you and that I gave away my inheritance for you. You're no heir. You're inheriting a throne of lies. If you want to keep it, dont you dare disregard her reputation and let alone touch or even glance in her way. Otherwise all hell will break lose and your little throne built on lies will fall. Understood?" roared Zaim. I didn't expect that from him. He seemed like a gentle soul. Now I knew what Anjali meant. He was a serious man. To be fair, I didn't care about my own reputation and to have someone care for it was weird especially Zaim. I was shocked, like really. I entered the living room cautiously. "Zaim. Can we go to Bhavani?" I asked hesitantly. He nodded and gave me a smile like nothing happened. I was so shocked. He's crazy, but It didn't really bother me. As long as he doesn't take out his craziness on me otherwise. Otherwise what you ask? Nothing. I'd just cry. I'm sensitive.
