Honestly.. sometimes I forget I'm a writer. Sometimes I go through life and think to myself: what the fuck is it that I'm actually good at. Then I remember. Oh yeah. Writing books. But that's not too prim and proper. Nor is it exactly ideal of a talent to have unless you can showcase it somehow. Its really frustrating when you get started after taking such a long break from writing and the first thing you do while staring at your blank page is the wall of doom. The dreaded. The unforeseen. The beyond understanding. Writer's Block.
How the fuck is this gonna happen to me when I haven't written in YEARS and yet I have all these ideas in my head. But then these questions all approach like a vast storm the moment I try to start writing again... like:
- Who is the main character
- Okay, how do they become the main character
- What is 99% of the book you havent even thought about
Do I really need to answer these questions now or can I just skip to the good part and start writing? Who knows, in the end where I'll end up. I just wanna go.
So I will.
I'll beat Writer's Block by doing the unthinkable.
