I fell onto the bed in the hotel room, my head hitting the large pillows and my arms spreading across the bed. I heard a soft laugh and Bella plopped down next to me, reminding me of our date night. I sighed as her cold fingers softly brushed my hair away from my eyes. "We made it out." I stated.
Bella laughed again. "Yeah. thank god." Her brows furrowed, her gold eyes-so enchanting-becoming distant. I tenderly brushed my fingers along her cheekbone, refusing to remember I was not the last person to have done that, and she let me direct her face fully in my view.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I queried, sitting up enough to brush my lips along her other cheek. She actually made a soft purring sound.
"You will have to be changed." She pointed out, her voice small and guilty.
"I know." I replied nonchalantly. I knew I wanted nothing but life with her. "Why do you sound so guilty when you bring it up?"
"Because you'll lose things." She replied, her soft purring still rumbling on when she wasn't speaking despite the obvious unpleasant feelings she had. I brushed my lips down, tracing her jawline. "Because you won't be able to have kids, or go a day without a pain in your throat. You won't be able to go out whenever you please, or be a fully functional member of society."
"I find humans are overrated." I cooed, my lips traveling down her neck. I smiled as her purring grew a little louder, her breath hitching. "I didn't know you could purr." I mentioned, sighing in contentment as my lips traveled to the sensual dip of her collarbone. "My little vampire kitty."
Bella huffed out a laugh, threading her fingers in my hair and kissing the top of my head. "I love you." She breathed. "More than I thought I could ever love anything."
"You are my life now." I replied, kissing my way back up the other side of her neck. Her breath hitched enticingly again. "Don't pass out, love." I teased lightly.
"Not possible." She murmured. I chuckled. Bella pulled away, cradling my face when I moved forward with her. She swallowed, resting her forehead on mine. "You're going drive me insane." She told me. I just smirked, leaning closer to her enticing lips, not done kissing her.
"Babe, we do need to talk about you becoming a vampire." She argued weakly, kissing my forehead before scooting away from me.
"I'll become one as soon as possible." I decided after a minute of thought. "We can say I died in a car crash, or was mugged, or-" Bella put a finger over my lips, her face scrunching up in pain over the words.
"I get what you mean. Let's not put those images in my head." She interrupted. I smiled in apology. "Are you sure you want this? You won't regret it in fifty odd years?"
"Never." I replied, never growing tired of looking at her golden swirls. Bella smiled faintly, kissing me chastley.

Esme hugged us tightly, Alice sinking into Jasper's embrace and Carlisle immediately cupping Bella's face, the two not even needing words to communicate how they were feeling. Carlisle smiled, hugging his daughter tightly, Bella shaking in relief.
We decided to stay on Isle Esme for a few days, Alice and Carlisle trying to find a good way to piece together my 'death' story. Alice looked tense, as if she was waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Everyone spent their time with their significant others, which suited me and Bella just fine. It was late at night when we arrived, so I passed out on the big white bed in our room, my arms wrapping around Bella instinctively. The next morning Bella showed me how vampires react to the sunlight.
"I should have known that's where the cosmetics industry got the idea for sparkling lotions." I quipped. Bella laughed, sinking down on the warm sand and laying down. I sat next to her, my eyes raking over her lithe, sexy form. She wore jean shorts and a tank top, the most skin she'd revealed in a human presence, and the thought that she was mine, that she loved me and I soon would have eternity with her, made my love and desire blossom even more.
"So what is the plan?" I asked randomly. "I mean, we're out of harm's way. When will my family be told I passed away?"
". . .I'm not sure," Bella hedged. "It's up to you, really." She sighed, closing her eyes when I traced her pouty lips.
"Ok, then the question is how fast can we stage my death?" Bella laughed.
"So eager for supposedly eternal damnation." She chuckled.
"You don't really believe that." I shot back. "Do you?"
Her dark golden eyes flashed open, and she hummed, looking up at the blue sky. "No. No, not really." She answered quietly.
"Good." I replied. "Because you most certainly have the most stunning soul I could ever gravitate towards."
"Charmer." Bella accused me as I nipped her lips.
"Bella?" Alice called, my love sitting up in response.
She twisted around so she could see Alice waving her over. "Yeah?" She asked.
"We need to go hunting." Alice replied. "All of us."
Bella frowned. "All all of us? Shouldn't someone stay here with Edward?"
"I don't need a babysitter." I contested.
Bella turned with a worried scowl on her face. "Go. Have fun with your family, or whatever sentiment works for hunting. I'll be fine."
"One hour. I'll be back in one hour." Bella promised, getting up begrudgingly. Alice snorted.
"I'd know if something is going to happen. I've been just as on edge as you and I truly don't think anything will happen." Alice soothed. Bella huffed, kissing me before dashing off with her sister.
I spent the hour eating a snack and walking along the beach, when suddenly I was pushed up against a palm tree, my throat forcefully exposed.
I'd just like to call attention to two important things about the date. It's 9/11/2023. First, on a more serious note, today is known to Americans as 'the day remembered in infamy' (I think), and I guess I just feel strangely obligated by myself to mention it. On a more Twilight note: Happy Birthday Renesmee! (Yes, Stephanie was fucked up enough to choose TODAY of all days for Renesmee's birthday.) She, ironically, would be turning 17 if she was a real. . .being(?) I don't know what to call her lol.
On a different note I did not expect the plot to go like this and I cannot explain why Edward is so. . .starved for affection seems like the best way to put it. I don't know what it's like reading it, but if you noticed more physical touching between our love birds, I really had no control over it and it's baffling me. So. . .leave a theory in the comments? 😅🤣
Have a great day/night!!
