Masaru woke up in a forest, he walked around
Ah, I wonder if I could turn back the fabrics of time itself...
He stumbled upon a bunch of fireflies in a grove
Would you remain the same? Or would you fall back into despair...
Among the many lights, one glowed dimly
My only wish is for your happiness!
(music)
Masaru took a watering can and was watering some plants
To take and steal, a light-light dimly glowing
Masaru noticed the flock of fireflies running around, causing chaos. He tried to settle them down but one firefly remained the same
Were you always like this? I hope you'll be okay
Masaru took in a deep breath
(chorus)
Ohh, a soft but cold tone causes fear. I wonder if I should've been cold?
A firefly comes up to Masaru unexpectedly
Rejoice this once lost win, but to me you'll be okay
The firefly flies around Masaru excitedly, Masaru chuckled
No father, no mother.
Masaru allows the firefly to rest on his hand and smiles at it reassuringly
I wonder if I can guide such things?
The firefly left Masaru's hand to return to their corner alone from the group
I wonder if I can fill in such things?
(chorus end)
Masaru petted a dog who relaxed in his arms, he enjoyed taking care of these "animals"
Whoa, no, no. A care as a parent, as a mentor
Masaru led the fireflies to see a historic statue, the dimly lit one followed close behind
No worries from me, no worries for them
Masaru jumped on a mushroom and fell in a lake, the fireflies were watching and seemed to be laughing
A perfect world where potential is safe, though, it won't last long
Masaru dried himself, saying goodbye to the fireflies
Although, guardians do nothing but worry
(music)
Masaru stretches as he walks around the forest, catching the firefly with two humans. The humans seem to be the owner of the firefly and they hurt it. Masaru saw and reported to authorities
To take and steal, a light-light dimly glowing, were you always like this? I hope you'll be okay
Masaru went up to the light and comforted it, but then a highschool girl smashed the bug herself, she wore braids and also glowed as bright as a firefly
Ohh, a soft but cold tone causes fear. I wonder if I should've been cold?
The firefly twitches, now dead
Rejoice this once lost win, but to me you'll be okay
Masaru stared at the girl in horror
No father, no mother.
The firefly's light went out, just as the girl's light began to disappear
I wonder if I can guide such things?
Both the firefly and girl disappeared, leaving Masaru in a classroom
I wonder if I can fill in such things?
Masaru covered his face in agony
