This time, Angel didn't enter the room to the interrogation room. They found themselves there already! Angel looked around, a little confused. They then noticed a girl in front of them. Angel cleared their throat to catch the girl's attention. She noticed and waved shyly, Angel demanded from her, "Name." The girl responded with a surprise, "Hasegawa Kaori...!" She hadn't expected to be asked her name. Angel hummed a response to themself and looked up, not turning to the girl.
Kaori's appearance was less messy than they had anticipated, since these were murdered victims, it would make sense if they were a bit bloody from their death. Despite this, Kaori's only feature of death that Angel could notice, was what seemed like a rope around her neck. They could even see the markings. Her voice wasn't as strained as Mirai's, but there was a small guttural groan everytime she spoke. Lacking the forethought of her reaction, Angel bluntly questioned her, "Did your killer strangle you?"
Kaori made a confused expression, it was a mix of multiple emotions really. To Angel, she seemed confused and scared. Kaori laughed lightly, questioning, "uhm, killer...?" Angel nodded, explaining "All of you are the murdered victims of someone." Kaori paused, she looking upward at the ceiling. She then lightly grabbed the rope around her neck and stated, "Nobody murdered me." Angel's eyes lit up, muddled with confusion. Kaori continued, "I killed myself." Angel didn't react, Angel wasn't phased from the news. All they simply said was, "Oh." As time passed, Angel began to ponder to themself of how strange it was that a girl, who claims to have killed herself, is considered a "murder victim". Angel questioned, "Why did you commit suicide?" The room was silent, almost as if Kaori was debating how she should admit a shameful crime.
Finally, she answered while looking down in shame, "I... angered some people. I did something very insensitive and caused people to get angry." Kaori then laughed it off, making it out to seem like water under the bridge. Angel didn't respond with a humorous reaction, which unsettled Kaori slightly. "You could've chuckled..." She made a strange expression at Angel, one that Angel couldn't understand the emotions behind. Angel replied, "Not needed." Angel continued staring at Kaori uncomfortably, with an expressionless face. Kaori took this as a sign that Angel wanted her to continue talking. Kaori lightly joked, "You're dressed as a prison guard...! Even though this isn't a prison..." Angel interrupted Kaori suddenly, "wrong. This place is a prison." Kaori blinked in a confusion. "Uh, what?" Angel repeated, "wrong. This place is a prison." Kaori laughed nervously, she theorized, "oh! So this place is similar to purgatory you mean...?" Angel shook their head, again repeating the same thing to her. Kaori was puzzled. "But... Why would I be in prison..? I don't think I committed any terrible sins..." Angel stated, "it's to determine if you deserved to die." Kaori paused before responding with a scoff, she spoke, "I suppose I do then..." Angel tilted their head curiously, "what makes you say that?" Kaori replied "Well, I copied a product design. I wasn't planning on doing anything harmful..! But it was still wrong of me to do that..." Angel looked at Kaori dumbfounded, questioning, "is that a bad thing?" Kaori blinked, taken aback from Angel's denseness. "Uh... Yeah, it's bad? Why would it not be...? Angel thought to themself, Kaori was surprised Angel even had to think why it was bad. Angel shrugged, unsure. Kaori expressed, "To take someone's work and get the credits... That would make that person upset, it'd upset you if you were the creator getting your stuff stolen, right?" Angel hadn't thought of that, again Kaori was surprised that Angel had to think deeply about empathizing with someone. Angel responded, "no. It wouldn't upset me." Kaori didn't know how to reply, Angel's response seemed so cold to her.
Angel broke the silence by tapping the table, they said, "who was one of the people that got mad at you?" They continued tapping the table. Kaori thought for a moment, "there were a lot... The one that I remember most was Pazuzu soccer..." Angel stared at Kaori for a moment, Pazuzu soccer didn't sound like a normal human name to them, perhaps it was a name that Angel wasn't aware of? "What do you remember about Pazuzu Soccer?" The name brought unsettling memories for Kaori, just thinking about Pazuzu gave her anxiety and she could feel her heart be dropped to her gut. Thinking about it again, the awful memories of being bullied and harrassed, she teared up lightly. Angel didn't react to her tears. Once she had calmed down, she muttered, "he showed my home address online. He even got people to harass me." Kaori began to silently sob her eyes out. Still, Angel didn't react to her sobs, they simply nodded along.
"You seem anxious." Angel commented bluntly, Kaori looked up with tears in her eyes. "...Huh..?" Angel noticed the confusion in her voice. They thought to themself, saying, "Being anxious means you're expressing that you're worried about something. I'm saying you seem worried." Kaori nodded meekly, she stated, "I get anxious when I think about all the things people have said..."
Angel was beginning to grow bored, despite not feeling much "emotion" when speaking to the victims, they couldn't help but find themselves searching around the room for something to do other than talk to Kaori. Kaori noticed them looking around, and sighed. "Am I being boring..?" Angel turned their attention back to Kaori, replying, "yes." Kaori felt an arrow hit her heart, she winced and laughed softly, "I'm sorry... I'm scared of saying the wrong thing and offending you..." Angel tilted their head, "I don't get offended. Do not worry." Kaori looked up at Angel again, "seriously?" Angel nodded, responding the same as her. "Seriously." Kaori didn't react. Suddenly, she began to laugh. She laughed and laughed, it seemed she had lost her mind, however that wasn't possible for a spirit who died sane. Kaori covered her face as she laughed while tears flowed from her eyes. Angel had never seen such a phenomenon with humans, not like they spoke with many. Angel didn't respond to her insanity, they simply sat until her laughter was replaced with cries.
Angel had grown bored of her laughter, they examined the room again. Looking around, the room was more decorated than they'd remembered the last time they spoke with the last two prisoners. There was what seemed to be wires and electronics, a large TV that didn't even seem to work, and a soccer ball in the corner. That was when Angel noticed a portrait behind Kaori, it was of a man with red ginger hair. He seemed to be wearing a prisoner uniform, his expression was filled with anger and disappointment. Angel stared at the portrait before the sound of bells silenced out Kaori's laughter. Angel saw a book fly down, it was time to view the book's contents. Angel opened the book, being met with flames and a sweet taste in their mouth as they dropped to the floor.
