"What are you? A stalker?" The young Earl asked his demon butler, listening to his lover's drama with a satisfied smile on his lips.
"My lord, it may seem that way, but I am sure I must have a very good reason for acting like that in the future and... forgive me for my impudence to speak so boldly, but... I am of the opinion that having Miss Clark here with us now, is quite a good reason for everything I will do to guarantee her presence here, right my dear?"
Sebastian glanced at where Selina sat, her fingers clutching strongly at her skirt. She looked quite pale and tired, rubbing at her forehead. An angry scowl adorned her face, as she obviously berated herself for not making all these connections between the strange man in the zoo, demon doctor, demon saviour and demon butler.
Yes, most probably a spell had been cast on her to forget him and she never opened her eyes to see whose was the embrace comforting her when needed, - she did not want to know for certain and be unable to kill him, if they ever crossed paths under different circumstances; she did not want to know who was the only demon she felt she could never harm - but the last occurrence... If anything, she should remember the leather high heel boots that made her drool, quite literally, when watching the young Earl's past.
It surprised her beyond words that the demon always close to her in the past would be the same she was bound to as a mate, unless he decided otherwise. She never imagined the gratitude she felt in the past and the feelings she now had would both aim the same demon. For a moment, she felt dizzy and her stomach turning but her master's voice made her return to reality.
"Do not say it like that! It sounds like you would even kill her family to have her come here... not that you would hesitate doing something like that."
"Certainly, my lord... if I wanted to feel her burning hate, that is. But I assure you it is quite bothersome having a human hate me, even more when that human is the holder of such a dangerous and lethal to me magical power. I, as the Phantomhive butler, would never allow myself to perish and leave my lord alone when Miss Clark's fury would have turned me to cinders; therefore, I promise to never harm the humans surrounding Miss Clark... Either way, humans are perfectly capable of killing each other that make demons seem like... angels." Sebastian chuckled with the irony of his words.
Ciel made a gurgling sound, like he was about to vomit upon hearing his smart-ass demon, and then ordered him to shut it and listen to the rest of Selina's life. Selina had not uttered a word all the while the exchange had taken place - her vocal chords felt squeezed together blocking all sounds to come out of her mouth - but now, with a few deep breaths to push back some uninvited tears, she went on in a little wavering and croaky voice.

"Please, I beg you to not be so provocative towards Mr. Spears; he is already fuming because you wasted all the chances he gave you. He says he had warned you." Miranda informed Selina as the two were crossing a hallway towards the Chief Reaper's office in the British headquarters.
"Yes, he did, but I never promised I would listen." Selina responded coldly, buttoning up her jacket that completed her black suit, making her look like a serious businesswoman heading for a meeting... as a certain reaper had demanded of her.
"There is no chance of regretting it, is there?" Miranda sighed as the only response she received was a shaking of head from Selina. "In that case, I won't be able to help you, whatever punishment he has in store."
"It's okay, I knew this would happen." Selina smiled lightly at her worried cousin.
They entered the big office, which seemed rather small since there were quite a few reapers standing around and their leader, William T. Spears, seated behind his desk with chartreuse eyes burning furiously as soon as they spotted the black haired witch entering the room.
