When Selina entered the library, stood in front of the vast space covered with bookcases holding unique volumes and sighed with hands on waist; she forgot to ask Sebastian which two bookcases he meant. With another sigh she started examining all of them for any speck of dust and when she found none, a light switched on in her mind. Their encounter in the library was only yesterday and she had found Sebastian meticulously cleaning the books. It was practically impossible for the demon butler to not manage finish cleaning a room in two days, even if he decided to dust the wall behind each bookcase.

"So this time he did lie to me... the bastard!!" She said and threw the dust clothes on the couch. She sighed for the third time.

Most probably this was another trick to make her work more, find faults and then reprimand her again. So they were back at that, huh? Well... perhaps Sebastian was sadistic and had developed a new fetish of tormenting her like that, but Selina was not stupid to allow him continue without a fight. Doing a rough estimation found that by the time she should finish cleaning, everyone would be already in bed for some time, leaving her and Sebastian totally alone in the entire manor. She was certain he would come to 'inspect' her and start whatever torture he had in mind.

Selina pulled books from one self and scattered them in a small table close by, crumpled the dust clothes to make them look used, picked a book and sat comfortably in one of the armchairs to read while waiting for the demon. He would immediately see nothing had changed from how he placed them the previous day and would complain for her slacking off; but then she too would give him a piece of her mind for being so demonic to her. She only hoped he would not resort to tortures of the sensual and erotic type because then she could lose again; the fact that the library was in one of the quieter and more secluded parts of the manor was unsettling for her.

Exactly as she guessed, half an hour after the servants had gone to bed, she sensed Sebastian approaching. Selina almost jumped out of the armchair and picking up one of the clothes started pretending cleaning the books and putting them in their place. Her back was towards the room's entrance, when the handle turned and the door opened and closed. Sebastian took a couple of steps in the room towards her, took a deep breath and to Selina's surprise, started talking very calmly with a cold voice.

"In the seventeen centuries of my life I have met all kinds of humans, men and women. Amusing creatures, I cannot deny that." He chuckled as he remembered things of the past. "Truly entertaining... But in the end they always annoyed me, irritated me... You are no exception, dear Selina."

Selina's stomach instantly tied into a knot. She aimed showing the demon she was not stupid and not to be trifled with, but once again fell straight into his trap. He drove her there in order to announce his decision, and she could already guess what it was, judging by his words and ice cold tone, the tone he used to strangers. The knot got tighter and reached her heart and throat. She dared not turn, due to her recurring fear of seeing his hate and disgust for her.

"Of course, you are supposed to be something more than a human, but you still annoy me, irritate me... every time I see you worry about me and think you can help me quite effectively. Sure, your little magic and potions can be of some use to me, but I can help and heal myself quite well without them, or even without feeding on your aura. Although, it is quite interesting how it fills my stomach for a while, even if I have not fed for so long; that could actually be really useful. I could keep you around just for that... but that is not enough for me."

She could sense him getting closer, slowly, like the predator before attacking its prey, and her knees had started trembling. Logically, he would not be so reckless to kill her right then and there. Ciel had ordered him not to... unless he persuaded the boy they had no need of her anymore.
