"So... am I to assume you finally settled things between you and the decision was... a positive one, I guess?" Ciel asked later that evening, after having returned from the shopping excursion with Sieglinde and Lizzie, in search for decorations for the young scientist's home. The two girls had visited for dinner too, and now he was waiting for them in the game room to play some chess with Sieglinde and Lizzie keeping them company.
"My lord?" Both tutor and butler asked surprised. The day was quite full and the three of them had not been alone even for a minute, so that the couple could announce their master their decision.
"You decided to become a couple officially, did you not?" The boy said, slightly irritated.
"Yes, my lord. We would inform you as soon as we would be in private." Sebastian bowed his head a little and Selina followed suit.
"You did not have to; it is quite obvious." He said waving his hand disregarding the issue, but then sighed when he saw them looking at him questioningly. "All the previous days you were both moody and brooding, but today you are in extremely good spirits and move around quite lightly, especially you, Miss Selina, you seem like a bunny bouncing around." A mischievous smirk appeared on his lips when he saw the woman's eyes open wide and roses blooming on her cheeks.
A stifled chuckle came from Sebastian and his eyes sparkled prideful as he finished setting the chess pieces. Selina, getting more embarrassed, apologized and promised to better control her emotions in the future.
"Now, Miss Selina... I hope you will continue to be useful to me in the future so that I will not be forced to order Sebastian to end you... it would be too bothersome to have him sulking for killing you."
The boy stared at the woman with a challenging look in his eye, certain for the power he had over the demon and how he would never go against his orders. He did not immediately see Sebastian's red eyes flashing quite hostile while looking at the boy, and then calming down once he realised that his master did not mean his threat. The boy had obviously developed a soft spot for the blond witch... and seemed to enjoy teasing her.
"Actually, I have to disagree on that, my lord." Miranda's voice was heard next to his ear, and the boy almost jumped out of his seat, freaked out at the angel's sudden appearance behind his armchair.
"Miss Miranda... what a pleasant surprise." Sebastian greeted her with a fake smile and a silky voice but without masking his displeasure. "I wonder, should I call you a cousin too, now that Seli-" He was interrupted by Selina's elbow nudging his side and Miranda's squeak as it was her turn to freak out.
"Don't push it, demon!" She said with eyes wide and lips pulled back showing her teeth, as she straightened her back from leaning on Ciel's armchair.
"Miranda, cut that out, please. Don't say demon in such a tone." Selina was finally heard with a reprimanding voice.
"Why? He is a demon and feels no shame about it." The angel could not understand.
"Well, yes, and you are a witch and an angel!" Selina said with purposely disgust in her voice and features.
Miranda sighed. "Okay, I get it now, you are right. I will try, as long as he too stops mocking me and calling me cherub and all these silly things." She expressed her conditions for the truce.
"She's got a point, you know..." Selina said to Sebastian looking pleadingly at him.
The demon sighed irritated but yielded when looking at his mate's eyes; he slightly nodded and then felt his heart jumping in his chest, when the blond woman gifted him a bright thankful smile; the angel of course did not miss that exchange and slightly smirked satisfied.
