Lovely | Suga x Daichi Hospital AU

Daichi was still at the hospital when Suga had to leave on an emergency transport. He though it was weird that a nurse would go, until he found out the patient was a child that Suga had been taking care of for months.

And he was there when Suga came back, bloody and broken.

Apparently there was a problem with the helicopter Suga had been in. A problem that caused it to crash mid-flight.

"Daichi Sawamura?" Daichi sighed in replied when a doctor appeared in the waiting room. He'd been waiting for hours to hear something about his boyfriend's condition.

"Yes, that's me."

The doctor nodded and approached him. "Sugawara's condition is critical but stable. He sustained multiple serious injuries, including a pelvic fracture, broken hip, and most likely a serious concussion. His other injuries are mostly minor bruises and a few deep cuts."

"So when you say critical..."

"His injuries are quite serious, and had he not received multiple surgeries he would probably be dead. Fortunately he got here and taken care of in time so they won't get any worse and have a much better chance of healing."

Daichi nodded. He tried to stay calm, but his heart was racing. "Can I see him?"

"Yes, of course. Come with me."

He tried not to worry. The doctor said he was stable, after all. But walking through the halls Daichi could feel pit in his stomach growing.

When they got to Suga's room Daichi felt as if all the air had been knocked out of him. He never could've imagined he would see his boyfriend hooked up to machines and covered in bandages.

"I'll leave you alone with him."

Daichi nodded as the doctor left and sat in the chair next to Suga's bed. "Hey my love." He sighed and grabbed Suga's hand, careful to avoid the IV. He thought about the ring he had hidden in his closet.

"You have to get better soon, okay? I have the best surprise for you, but you can't really see it if you're asleep."

Daichi was told that it could be awhile until Suga woke up, but he really hoped it would be sooner rather than later.
