Suga stared at the roof in awe. Daichi somehow managed to turn their apartment roof into their own ice skating rink. He smiled and looked at his boyfriend.
"Now I understand why you've been getting up so early for the past week. And you can forget about me being grumpy about it!"
Daichi laughed and Kissed Suga. "Already forgotten." He nodded towards two pairs of skates leaning against a wall. "Now go put those on and let's get started, shall we?"
The two put on their skates and made it to the edge of the ice before Suga paused. He sighed and looked up at the fairy lights that Daichi had also strung up.
"Am I allowed to do this?"
"Don't worry." Daichi smiled encouragingly. "I got permission from all of your doctors, and as long as you don't go until you're hurting they actually think it's a good idea!"
"Awe, look at you putting in all this effort for me," Suga teased as he followed Daichi onto the ice.
Daichi led Suga in slow circles, never letting go of his hand. It was almost seemed like a miracle that despite his hips, Suga was barely stumbling and didn't need Daichi's constant support. Not that he had any objections to holding hands, of course.
"I wanted to take you skating for your birthday, but my plans were disrupted by... You know."
"Ah yes, the life threatening plane crash two months before my birthday." Suga smiled warmly and pulled Daichi closer to him. "Late birthday gift, anniversary gift, it doesn't matter. Because I love you so, so much, and I'm grateful for everything you've done for me."
A smirk replaced Daichi's smile. "Sentimental tonight, are we?"
"Don't make fun of me."
"Sometimes I just can't help myself," Daichi laughed before kissing Suga. "But I love you too. So much so, that when you're feeling better and more like yourself I plan on proposing to you."
Suga raised a brow. "I don't think you're supposed to tell me that."
"That's the fun part, my love."
"You know what else is fun?" Suga smirked and let go of Daichi, skating away from him.
"Suga, be careful. Your hips-"
"Feel the best they have in weeks!" Suga winked. He really was feeling the best he had in ages, and he used to go ice skating all the time when he was younger, so... "Come on, let's do a little bit more than slow laps around this beautiful rink you made for us, huh?"

Three hours later Suga was laying in bed, trying not to laugh at a ridiculously sore Daichi.
"I can't believe how many times you fell. You're just a complete disaster."
Daichi climbed into bed next to Suga and kissed his forehead. "Yeah, well I don't have fifteen years of going to the rink every time I got an A on a test. So you know, after every test."
"I can't help that I'm fabulous," Suga shrugged.
"Uh huh. You sure you're still feeling okay?"
Suga foun it ironic that Daichi was worried about him when he was the one covered in bruises from falling so much, but he though it was sweet too. So he smiled and kissed his boyfriend. "I feel perfect."
