Chapter 9: A Very Spidey Birthday

2 months go by since Gwen left the hospital, since then they both went back to where Peter put Fisk to sleep and put him back in prison. They made sure he went to the most secure facility in New York, the Raft. After doing that they both started planning out their wedding. They both started finding catering, a DJ, and the rest. They still had a bunch of time to figure it all out, but today was another special day. Today was Miles 18th birthday. Gwen wanted to celebrate it by throwing him a surprise party. Rio and Jeff told her that he doesn't celebrate his birthday because he was always afraid that if he stopped to do one little thing the world would fall apart. So Gwen thought of a plan in which Rio and Jeff both agreed with. Jeff sent some of his work buddies to the Raft to make sure it was secure and he sent the rest to Rykers to make sure it was secure too. After Jeff told her that nobody would be escaping anytime soon, she got ready to throw him a party.

Part of her plan was to have the party in her dimension at her dads house so then he would feel extra sure nobody would ruin the party. So Gwen left to go get the supplies and the cake that Rio ordered and Gwen told them to tell Miles if he woke up that she had to go to school and talk with her teacher about some extra credit assignments. Miles woke up a little bit after she left, he looks at his phone to see that he got a text from Gwen that said, "Happy birthday my love! I love you so much and I'm so happy I get to be with you for your birthday. Sorry I had to leave for a while, I had some things for school I needed to do but I promise I'll be back as quick as I can. I love you." Miles smiles and texts her back and says, "Thank you baby, it's all good. Take your time, schools important. I'll see you in a little bit, and I love you too." Miles then puts on his suit and goes out for a swing. He stopped a few robberies here and there and helped an old woman cross the street. After he was done he swung to the top of a building and said to himself, "Wow what a birthday, I just wish Gwen was here with me." After he said that, Gwen shot him a text that said, "Miles can you come to my dimension, I was about to come to your dimension but then I saw that Doc Ock escaped and we're on the roof of my apartment building. Please hurry!" Without even thinking Miles quickly set his gizmo for Earth 65 and went. He swung to her building and didn't see them. So when he went to her window he saw her in her room pacing. He opened the window and Gwen ran to him and hugged him and Miles said, "It's okay baby I'm here, let's go stop him." She said, "I have him webbed in the living room but he's trying to escape the webs." They both run to the living room and Miles is met with a big, "SURPRISE!"

Miles didn't know what to say, but after a few minutes he said, "So where's Doc Ock?" Gwen chuckles and walks up to him and kisses him and says, "That was just my plan silly, he's still in prison. I brought you here to celebrate your birthday. I know you said you don't celebrate it because you're afraid you take a nap and the whole world falls apart. So I made sure that everyone in your dimension was safe and all prisoners were still locked up and your dads force is watching the Raft and Rykers. I also had Pete swing around my dimension to make sure it was safe. Everything is okay Miles, we can now feel at ease. You won't have to worry about any bad guys for a long while. So for now, wanna come join your party?" Miles picks Gwen up into his arms, kisses her and swings her around in circles in joy. He said, "Thank you so much baby, you didn't have to do all of this." She smiles and says, "I wanted to, two months ago you made me feel special when you proposed to me. The least I can do is show you how much I love you and make you feel special. You deserve a break Miles, now c'mon, our guests await." She reached out her hand which Miles gladly took and she walked him back out to the party. When they get to the living room, Gwen says to Miles, "And remember when I texted you that I went to school to talk with my teacher about some extra credit?" Miles says, "Yeah?" Gwen says, "Well that was a lie, I was getting everything prepared for your party." Miles chuckles and says, "Honestly I thought something was off because why would you need extra credit, you have straight A's in every class." Gwen giggles and says, "Well sometimes I get bored in class and want to do some more work." Miles chuckles as well, gently caresses her cheek and says, "Well aren't you a nerd." Gwen giggles again and playfully hits Miles arm and says, "I think you mean a beautiful nerd." Miles says, "You're my beautiful nerd." Gwen giggles and gives him a kiss.
