Chapter 18: The Baby Morales Gender Reveal

A week goes by and Gwen's baby bump has gotten a little bigger. But today was the day Miles and Gwen would find out the gender of their baby. Over the past few days Miles has been very anxious to find out the gender of their baby, Miles has been saying how much he wants a girl, he really wants a Gwen Jr to take care of. The past few days Gwen could really see his excitement, it just warmed her heart to see him so excited. Originally she was scared to tell him because she didn't know if he wanted kids or if they were even ready to be parents, but after seeing how excited he was when she told him and seeing how excited he has been, she felt comfort knowing that Miles was going to be the best dad in the world.

Miles woke up bright and early to make Gwen breakfast. Gwen woke up to the smell of waffles and sausage. Gwen wanted to play a trick on him again and sneak up behind him. She went invisible and tiptoed towards Miles and then Miles says, "Hey honey, how'd you sleep?" Gwen turns visible and says, "Ohhhh, you ruined it Miles." She makes a pouty face and crosses her arms. Miles giggles and says, "I could sense you coming." He sees Gwen still making her face and he walks up to her and kisses her head and says, "Baby don't be like that. Would you forgive me if I said I made your favorite breakfast?" Gwen uncrosses her arms and says, "Chocolate chip waffles and sausage?" Miles smiles and nods, "Chocolate chip waffles and sausage." Gwen gives him a hug and says, "Okay I forgive you, but only because I love you for making my favorite breakfast." Miles says, "What can I say? I know my beautiful wife all too well." Gwen giggles as she sits at the table and Miles brings her her plate. They both eat and get dressed ready to go to their gender reveal party.

Thirty minutes later Miles and Gwen get to Brooklyn Banquet Hall to see the whole ball room murdered in decorations and games. The party goes on for a while until Rio Jeff and George go to the stage, Rio grabs the mic and says, "Okay everyone, it's finally time, the moment you've all been waiting for. I now ask that everyone move outside." Everyone moves outside and Miles and Gwen get handed a cannon. Miles says, "Care to do the honors mi amor?" Gwen takes the cannon and kisses his cheek. George then says, "Now in the count of three." Everyone yells, "3...2...1!" Gwen shoots the cannon and...........pink confetti shoots out. Everyone celebrates and Miles and Gwen both hug each other. Miles says to Gwen, "Baby! We're having a daughter!" Gwen starts to cry tears of joy, sure she wanted a boy, but she was still happy she was having a daughter." Jeff says into the mic, "It's official everyone! Miles and Gwen are having a daughter!" After a few moments everyone makes their way back inside the ballroom.

After another hour Gwen starts to feel tired and says to Miles, "Baby I'm getting a little tired." Miles smiles and says, "Alright well let's get you home and in bed." They both say their goodbyes to everyone before heading out. Miles and Gwen get home and the first thing Gwen says when they get in the door is, "Honey I'm hungry." Miles says, "I thought you were tired?" Gwen giggles and says, "I am but our little girl is hungry, I can't put her to sleep on an empty stomach." Miles chuckles and says, "Well what do my favorite girls want to eat?" Gwen says, "Chocolate, salt and vinegar chips, and pineapple." Miles giggles and says, "Well that's totally not a weird combination." Gwen giggles too and says, "Hey I can't help it, this is just what our baby wants." Miles kisses her lips and says, "Well I'll be back in a little, I love you." Miles then kneels down and hugs and kisses Gwen's belly and says, "And I love you babygirl." Miles then kisses Gwen's lips again and leaves. Miles comes back a little later to see Gwen asleep, cuddling a pillow. Miles kisses her and says, "Honey, I'm back, are you okay?" Gwen opens her eyes and immediately hugs Miles, Miles is taken aback by the tight hug she was giving him. Miles picks her up and holds her tight, he says, "Sweetheart you okay?" Gwen says, "I'm okay, it's just that...I-I..." Miles says, "Honey it's okay you don't have to tell me." Gwen says, "It's think its time that I do. I-I...I'm scared of thunder. I know it sounds childish but it's just something I've always been afraid of." Miles kisses her cheek and says, "Baby it's not childish, I was scared of the thunder too, sure I eventually grew out of it but it still scares me a little too but not as much as before. But don't worry, I'm always here to protect you from it. When it's thundering and you feel uncomfortable let me know and I'll protect you." Gwen is happy knowing she found someone that understood her, she was happy knowing Miles would do this for her. She knew she found the right one in Miles and she loved him immensely for it.

Just then another crack of thunder could be heard and Gwen tightened her hold on Miles. Miles whispered in her ear while rubbing her back, "Don't worry sweetie I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." Miles then kisses her head and says, "Wanna watch a movie so you and our little girl can eat?" Gwen nods into his shoulder and says, "Yes please." Miles giggles and lays Gwen on his bed. He then gets up and puts on Gwen's favorite movie, "The Sound of Music". When the movie starts Miles lays next to Gwen and opens his backpack and pulls out the chocolate bars, salt and vinegar chips, and the pineapple chunks. Miles then says, "I also have another surprise for you." Gwen says,What could be better than this hun?" Miles pulls out a giant teddy bear from his backpack and gives it to Gwen. Gwen hugs Miles and says, "Babe you didn't have to do this for me." Miles says, "I know but I just like to spoil my girl." Miles then says, "Oh wait press his belly." Gwen does so and hears, "Hey Gwen, its Miles, I just want you to know that I love you so much and I would do anything for you. I will always love you baby." Gwen starts to cry, Gwen says to Miles, "Babe you have no idea how much this means to me, I love you so much." Miles says, "I love you too honey, but now I'm glad I got it for you, now if I'm not here for some reason and it starts to thunder, you can cuddle it and press it's belly to hear my voice." Gwen says, "I love this so much Miles, thank you for everything." Miles kisses her and says, "It's my job honey."

After watching the movie a for a while and eating her snacks, Miles says, "Honey do you mind if I go and take a shower?" Gwen says, "No, but only if I can join you." Miles says, "Okay honey." They both take a shower and then head to bed for the night. Gwen and Miles both hear a crack of thunder and Miles feels Gwen tensing up in her sleep. Miles runs his finger through her hair and whispers in her ear, "Baby you're safe and you're okay. I'm right here to protect you, I love you." He then feels Gwen calming down and sees her smiling. He kisses her forehead and she says in her sleep, "I love you Miles, so much." Miles just smiles and shuts his eyes and falls asleep.
