Chapter 14: Christmas Joy

Today is Christmas on Earth 1610 and Miles has been up since 4 in the morning making breakfast for Gwen and some other guests. Miles made his special Christmas Rolls, they were cinnamon rolls with red and green icing drizzled on top. He also made bacon and eggs to go along with it. Gwen wakes up to the smell of cinnamon rolls and notices that Miles isn't next to her. She then walks out to the kitchen to see him making breakfast, she decides to give him a little playful scare, she taps his shoulder and moves to the right and he moves to the left, she taps his shoulder again and he moves to the right she moves to the left. She then steps out in front of him and says, "Boo!" Miles gives a blank stare and says to himself, "Well that's weird, no one's here." Gwen then says confused, "Miles I'm right here." Miles then turns around and says, "Babe I take it you're awake?" Gwen then says confused even more, "Miles!?" Miles then walks to their room to see if that's where he was hearing Gwen yelling from. Gwen looks at him confused as all hell and says to herself, "Is he ignoring me? Did I do something wrong?" Miles then comes out of their room to see Gwen looking at him from the kitchen with tears forming in her eyes. Miles looks at her and runs up to her and hugs her saying, "Baby what's wrong? Why're you crying?" Gwen says, "Did I do something wrong? Did I say something wrong?" Miles asks, "What do you mean?" Gwen says, "You were ignoring me, I wanted to give you a little playful scare and when I tapped your shoulder you acted like you didn't see anything." Miles now has his share of confusion, he says, "Baby I didn't see anything, I wondered why something kept tapping my shoulder, but last time I saw you you were asleep in bed." Gwen then thinks for a minute, until she came to a realization. She says to Miles, "Babe turn around for a second." Miles does so and when Gwen tells him to turn back around, he doesn't see Gwen anymore. He says, "Babe where'd you go?" Gwen then says, "Honey I'm right here." She becomes visible to Miles and he says, "Okay, what the actual hell is happening!?" Gwen smiles and says, "Baby...I-I think I have invisibility!"

Miles' eyes widen and picks Gwen up and kisses her. Miles says, "Baby how could this happen!?" Just then they both head a voice saying, "I think I can answer that for you." Miles and Gwen turn back around and pull out their web shooters and aim it at the person. The person puts up their hands and says, "Hey hey hey, it's alright it's just me, Miguel! Remember, I gave you both those gizmos almost a year ago?" They both remember him and put their web shooters down. Miles says, "Hey Miguel, sorry about that, how've you been?" Miguel says, "I've been well, just wanted to come over and explain why Gwen can turn invisible. You see, when you guys first...you know..." Miles and Gwen don't understand what he means, but then it hits both of them and they both blush hard. Miguel chuckles and says, "After that, your guys DNA merged into one, meaning that you Gwen have Miles' powers and you can now go invisible and you now have venom shock." Gwen is so shocked that she doesn't notice Miles grabbing her and hugging her tightly swinging her around. Miles says to her, "Baby this is great! Now we both have superpowers other then web slinging!" Gwen says, "Yeah!" Miles then let's go of her and Miguel says, "Well I should head out, got a family to spend Christmas with and a multiverse to protect." Miguel then opens a portal then leaves.

Miles then kisses Gwen and says, "Well this is a great Christmas surprise!" Gwen says in her mind, "Oh he has no idea how many more surprises I have for him today." They then hear a knock at the door, Miles goes to answer it and sees that it's Rio, Jeff, George, and the entire spider fam. They all sat down to eat the breakfast that Miles prepared for everyone. A few hours go by and now everyone is opening presents. All the presents were given and opened, all except for Miles' presents to Gwen and Gwen's presents to Miles. Miles let's Gwen open hers first. He got her some rock cds and a brand new pair of drumsticks. Her favorite gift was a necklace that had a heart that was separated. In one half that Miles kept had a picture of Gwen in it and Gwen's half had a picture of Miles in it. And when they come together they lock the heart together and form their favorite picture of the bus ride from Alchemax. Gwen loved her presents, she hugged Miles tightly and said, "Thank you so much Miles, I love you." Miles said, "I love you too babygirl." Everyone awwed until Gwen says, "Here, these are my presents to you." Miles opened a box to show the Jordan's Miles had been wanting forever. Miles was beyond excited, he hugged Gwen and thanked her for doing this for him. She also got him a new pair of headphones that had a note on them that said, "Miles, put these on and I will explain why." Miles looked at Gwen and she said, "Put them on." Miles did so and then Gwen walked away and Rio and Jeff took control. They had notecards to show Miles, the first card read, "Gwen wanted to play the Whisper Challenge with you. Thumbs up if you're ready to play." Miles gives a thumbs up and the begin the game. Rio and Jeff said, "Talking turtles" Miles said, "Taking toodles." Everyone laughed and Rio said, "Talking turtles." Miles then said, "Talking turtles." They all cheered that he got the first one right. On the second one it read, "Slippery submarine." Miles says, "Slimy silky submarine?" Everyone laughed again and Jeff said, "Slippery submarine." Miles says, "Slippery submarine." Everyone cheered and went on the the last one. Rio says, "Look behind you." Miles says, "Took trehind cue." Everyone chuckles and Rio reads again, "Look behind you." She then shows him the card and he says, "Look behind you." He then turns around to see Gwen sitting on the couch with a long thin box. Miles takes off his headphones and Gwen says, "Open it." Miles opens it up to see a pregnancy test. Miles eyes widened when it read positive. Miles started to tear up and said, "You sure?" Gwen smiles and gives him another box, when he opens it there's around 3 more tests that all show positive as well. Miles now breaks down, holds Gwen's hands and says, "I'm gonna be a dad!?" Gwen starts to tear up, smiles and nods. Miles says, "HOLY SHIT!" He picks Gwen up and kisses her and swings her around the room. Miles cries into her shoulder, Gwen says, "You alright honey? I thought you'd be happy." Miles says, "Baby you have no idea how happy I am, I have dreamt of this day more times than I have fingers on both of my hands. I just can't believe I'm going to finally be a dad." Gwen giggles and says, "You're going to the best dad ever I hope you know." Miles says, "I promise I'll try to be, and I know you'll be the best mom ever. I love you so much Gwen!" Gwen giggles again and says, "I love you too Miles!" Everyone cheers and tears start forming in everyone's eyes. Miles puts Gwen down and he says to everyone, "Wait you all already knew?" Peter said, "Yeah, Gwen told us all first because she wanted to tell you today for your Christmas present, and she needed our help with it." Miles says, "Oh well I guess that makes sense. But still, we have so much we need to do. We need to get a crib, we need to baby proof the apartment, we need to do lots of things to get ready." Gwen kisses him and says, "Baby breath, I'm only two months pregnant, we still have seven months to get everything situated." They all then hear another knock at the door and Gwen says, "I did invite one more friend, I hope you guys don't mind." Miles says, "Who is it?" Just then a familiar face walks through the door and says, "I heard I'm having a grand niece or nephew! Let's party!" Miles then says, "Tommy!" He goes up to hug Tommy and Tommy hugs him back, Gwen joins the hug and Tommy says, "Congratulations kiddos! I told you y'all would be great parents someday!" George walks up to Tommy and hugs him and says, "Hey little brother, long time no see, it's good to see you." Tommy says, "It's great to see you too big brother." Rio and Jeff then walk up and say, "I don't think we've been properly introduced." Jeff extends his hand and says, "I'm Jeff." Tommy shakes his hand and says, "I'm Thomas, but you can call me Tommy, so nice to finally meet you two." Rio then shakes his hand and says, "I'm Rio, nice to meet you too." They all sit down for an amazing Christmas feast as one big family. Miles and Gwen say in their heads, "This is the best Christmas ever!"
