Chapter 13

"I'm not-" Giyu says, and Akari interrupts. "You'll see at the fight of the Infinity castle, so you better be patient!" Giyu bites his lip and at the corner of his eye he could clearly see Shinobu looking triumph.

After half an hour, Akari dragged Genya back, and Genya looked super out of breath. "Out of ten, how much progress do you think we did?" Akari asks, putting Genya in a sitting positon next to Shinobu, who looked super worried. "Fifteen." Genya said, puffing and put a cheeky smile on his face. "Good, hope I don't need to push you that hard again!" Akari says brightly and Genya gave her a small smile. "Here a mint, I think I pushed your stamina more than your yellow slayers." Akari says, and Genya sucks the mint.

"I think it's time to join Tanjiro, Nezuko to the mysterious village." Genya says, and kisses Shinobu goodbye, and he left, Akari takes off a feather and drops it, and Shinobu and Giyu watch as a cat appears and chases Genya. "You welcome." Akari says without keeping her eyes off the cat, and waved goodbye to Genya. "No one is dying on my watch." She says, and Shinobu narrows her eyes for a second and opens them again.

"I saw that Shinobu, don't worry I'll bring her back." Akari says and Shinobu suddenly looked so hopeful and Giyu blinked in confusion. "Lovely awkward silence isn't it? I'm sure the other hashiras are avoiding me 'cause they hate my training, so Shinobu would you like to tra-" Before Akari could finish Shinobu leaped into the sky, leaving Giyu laughing and trying to gasp for his breath and failing visibly. "It's not funny Giyu!" Akari says scrunching her face up, but instead of stopping, Giyu started laughing even more.

"Wait a second!" Giyu says, suddenly recovering from the laughs and asks a questions "Where is your mark, you're such a good demon slayer and you haven't got a mark?" He asks questionably. "I don't have one, but weirdly I grow cat ears and a tail, which is lovely!" Akari says loudly and Giyu nods still thinking why. "Imma go and clean up the food, and I don't what you're gonna do but DON'T ARGUE WITH SHINOBU!" Akari says, and Giyu laughs. "You read my mind!" He chuckles.

They separated and Akari started cleaning the kitchen, it was a lot of work, because, well let's just say that the hashiras are very messy eaters, especially that boar-headed guy, that Akari forgot his name was. She wiped the table carefully and neatly put all the plates into the sink, putting a mental note to check up on Muichiro after cleaning up the kitchen. She swept the floor and hummed a little tune that Giyu always seem to be singing. She had to admit it was a little bit addictive, Sabito came in for a snack and narrowed his eyes when he saw Akari.

"Hey?" Akari says awkwardly, and Sabito suddenly bowed. "Hey, hey! What you doing, please get up!" Akari sasy in huge shock. "T-thank you for saving us from the hand demon!" Sabito says, getting up, and for a second Akari didn't know what he was talking about until she remembered. "Oh no you didn't need to say thank you for that!"

"You guys had such a long life ahead of you, I was just a person doing small calculations so young 'uns don't die infront of me." Akari says, finishing her thought and Sabito smiles and helps her scrubbing the plates, and Akari sweeps the floor slowly. The awkward silence was super noticeable, but Akari tried her best to ignore it. After finishing Akari noticed that Sabito was sweating, and she offered a handkerchief for him, and he gratefully accepted it. "Such a well mannered person, I'm glad I saved him." Akari thinks and smiles brightly. She checks up on Muichiro, shockingly a little was clinging on him and screaming for him to give his mask back.

"How am I surprised that he wants to bully a little child?" She thinks smirking, and Sabito leaves the room, waving goodbye and joins Makomo, Akari suspected that there was something between them, because the are always seen together, like two lovebirds. Akari makes the salmon and radish dish for Giyu, and follows his scent of trail towards his room, she is surprised to see the room already opened and a scent of lotus enters her nose. "Sh!t this isn't a good sign." She thinks and slowly enters the room, and almost drops her bowl. She shakingly puts the bowl down and looks at the horrible image.

Giyu was on the bed, his hand on his katana and huge scratches along his neck. Blood was splattered everywhere. Clearly the work of Douma, but what he didn't know was Akari can revive people, and has been hiding this ability for centuries already. 'Twentieth form: Paws of life', Akari whispers. Meanwhile Giyu was still unsure what happened, his mind was still in a daze, all he could make out was there was a strong scent of lotuses and he got cut by something very sharp.

"Hello there my mistress sent me to collect you from hell, which is not where you were suppose to be." A voice comes from his back and Giyu turns back and a little kitty with angel like wings floated gracefully. "Follow me, mistress specifically told me not to dawdle." the kitty says finishing and Giyu follows the flying kitty, Giyu opened his eyes and coughed a little bit of blood. "I- died." He said gasping for air. "I'm sure it was a lovely experience!" Akari says sarcastically and Giyu narrows his eyes, cracking a smile, before coughing out more blood.

"Here drink some mint tea, you're gonna need it, it's not everyday you come from death to back breathing again, good accomplishment." Akari says teasingly and Giyu wheezes a bit. "Here is the salmon and radish meal I prepared for you, and I'll leave you to it." Akari says, and walks towards the door. "Wait-" Giyu gasps and Akari stops and looks back. "Come back, I just came back from the dead, I need some cuddles."

Akari smirks and softly embraces him, making sure it doesn't hurt. Giyu murmurs a thanks and starts eating the meal, groaning softly with every bite he takes, and he takes a sip of mint tea. "You, food and cuddles makes today the best day ever." He says smiling. "What about dying?" Akari says, and Giyu waves it away as if it was nothing. "Who cares about death when I've got you with me?" he says and Akari blushes very noticably. She barely remembers that she has to check on Muichiro again, she saw this time Muichiro was smirking against Gyokko.
